Abstract:
An electrical connectors housing for receiving a pair of mated electrical connectors designed to provide easy connection and prevent inadvertent disconnection of electrical connectors, comprises a male electrical connector housing member; a female electrical connector housing member configured to receive the male electrical connector housing member; and cam-lock couplings to lock together female and male electrical connector housing members.
Abstract:
The application relates to a pestivirus, designated PMC virus, that is associated with porcine myocarditis syndrome, and the gene and protein sequences derived therefrom. The application further relates to detection methods, vaccine therapeutics, and diagnostic methods using the PMC virus or gene/protein sequences derived therefrom.
Abstract:
Improved compositions and methods are provided for stabilizing a solution of bone morphogenetic protein. The compositions comprise an aqueous solution of GDF-5 and a biocompatible acid, such as hydrochloric, acetic, phosphoric, or trifluoroacetic acid, wherein the solution has a pH of from about 3.0 to about 3.6, thereby providing for improved stability of the GDF-5 protein during handling and prolonged storage at reduced temperatures.
Abstract:
Intricately shaped toilet bars with specific compositions and plasticity properties can be advantageously manufactured via three dimensional cutting. Such cut bars are characterized by specific surface profiles and topographic features. Intricately shaped toilet bars with a wide range of formulations for enhanced skin treatment can be thus economically and reliably manufactured.
Abstract:
A method and system for dispositioning defects in a photomask are provided. A method for dispositioning defects in a photomask includes analyzing photomask topography data including data representing a design topology of at least a first photomask, the first photomask corresponding to a first layer in a photolithographic process. Based at least on the analysis, one or more safe regions of the first photomask are identified, each safe region corresponding to a region of the first layer insensitive to potential defects located in the first photomask.
Abstract:
A profile of a surface of an object (12) that has a longitudinal axis is determined by arranging a camera (14) to view a portion of the surface with its viewing axis (15) substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and arranging two scanning light sources (16, 18) to define planes of illumination which define two lines on the surface, so that the camera produces an image including images of the two lines. From the separation of the two lines in the image the surface profile can be determined. The planes of illumination are preferably inclined to one another, as this can enhance sensitivity.
Abstract:
Objects on application servers may be defined into classes which receive different levels of security protection, such as definition of user objects and administrative objects. Domain-wide security may be enforced on administrative objects, which user object security may be configured separately for each application server in a domain. In a CORBA architecture, IOR's for shared objects which are to be secured on a domain-wide basis, such as administrative objects, are provided with tagged components during IOR creation and exporting to a name server. Later, when the IOR is used by a client, the client invokes necessary security measures such as authentication, authorization and transport protection according to the tagged components.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an improved rooflight 100. A first aspect of the rooflight provides a perimeter lip 1401 which protects an edge of a pane 210 of glass from being accidentally chipped or cracked. A second aspect of the present invention provides a channel for a blind 1100, which channel is formed by two cooperating channel sections 1601, 1602. A third aspect of the present invention provides a flashing system 1700. Another aspect of the rooflight 100 provides a water deflector 450 for preventing rain water from impinging directly onto a weather seal between a casement 120 and baseplate 110. Another aspect provides removable linings 610, 620, 1210, 1220 which can be mounted an interior face of the casement 120 and/or baseplate 110. Another aspect provides a slot 1000, for securing flashing 800, 810, which extends around the perimeter of the baseplate 110. Another aspect provides a blind 110 which is recessed within cavities and a blind runner 1300, thus reducing unwanted transmission of light when the blind 1101 is pulled.
Abstract:
A method for disseminating value-added information is described, starting from known radio paging services in which on one or more frequencies, by means of an address code which establishes the identity of a certain receiver, a message can be transmitted to the receiver, wherein at least one second standard address code is provided for identifying several receivers of the radio paging service, which is transmitted on one or more frequencies used by the radio paging service. By setting up a second address code, several subscribers to a radio paging service can be addressed simultaneously. The subscribers can in this case select and call up desired value-added information.
