    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve comprises a radially expandable frame comprising an outflow end and an inflow end, and a plurality of valve leaflets disposed within and coupled to the frame. Each leaflet comprises a main body having an outflow edge portion and an inflow edge portion, wherein the leaflets are configured to move between an open state and a closed state in which the outflow edge portions coapt with each other and block the flow of blood through the frame from the outlet end to the inlet end, wherein the inflow edge portion of each leaflet includes a movable portion that can move radially inwardly when the leaflets move to the closed state to assist with the coaptation of the outflow edge portions of the leaflets and radially outwardly when the leaflets move to the open state.

    Abstract: A prosthetic valve includes an annular frame and a valvular structure mounted within the annular frame. The valvular structure comprises a plurality of leaflets defining a plurality of commissures coupled to the annular frame. Each leaflet includes a leaflet free edge that is offset in a downstream direction from the commissures by side edges that are not attached to the frame. A material portion of the leaflet disposed between the side edges contributes a material slack that extends a radial reach of the leaflet free edge for coaptation. The prosthetic valve can be releasably coupled to a delivery device to form a delivery apparatus. The prosthetic valve can be delivered to a selected implantation site by the delivery apparatus and released at the implantation site by a handle of the delivery device.

    Abstract: In some examples, a medical implant includes a frame and a radiopaque marker. The radiopaque marker is coupled to the strut with a recessed surface portion of the radiopaque marker positioned in opposing relation to a first concave surface of a strut portion of the frame. In some examples, at least one strut of the frame has a bore, an eyelet, and a strut portion between the bore and the eyelet. The radiopaque marker is disposed within the bore and has an edge surface with a recessed surface portion positioned in opposing relation to a first surface of the strut portion. In some examples, a medical assembly includes a delivery apparatus, a frame, and a radiopaque marker.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve can include a radially expandable and compressible frame and a valvular structure. The frame can include a plurality of circumferentially spaced axial struts, a plurality of pairs of axial posts, and a plurality of rows of angled struts. Each pair of axial posts can be positioned circumferentially between two axial struts. The plurality of rows can include at least a first row, a second row downstream of the first row, a third row downstream of the second row, and a fourth row downstream of the third row. Each of the angled struts can be connected at one end to one of the axial struts and at another end to one of the axial posts. The angled struts of the first and fourth rows can be shorter than the struts of the second and third rows.

    Abstract: This disclosure is directed to prosthetic heart valves and frames for prosthetic heart valves having actuation assemblies with at least two bolts coupled to each other. The actuation assembly with at least two bolts allow different portions of the actuation assembly to be designed to meet different needs. In one example, the actuation mechanism can include a first bolt coupled end-to-end with a second bolt. The second bolt can have a greater diameter and correspondingly greater mechanical strength than the first bolt. The first bolt can have a lesser diameter suitable for minimizing the thickness of surrounding and adjacent valve frame components. The actuation assembly can also include one or more of a nut, a washer, and a portion designed to attach to components of a delivery system. Also disclosed herein are actuation assemblies including a washer secured by a pin extending through the bolt of the actuation assembly.

As one example, a prosthetic valve can include an annular frame movable between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state, and at least one support arm. The frame can include a plurality of support posts, each extending between a post inflow end and an opposite post outflow end. The support arm can extend from a corresponding support post, and terminate at a free-ended tip which is biased radially away from the corresponding support post.
