摘要: The system and method of the present application includes a physiological sensor and a motion sensor connected to a patient. The physiological sensor detects patient connection to the sensor and collects a physiological signal while connected. When the physiological sensor is disconnected, the motion sensor data is analyzed. Patterns of sensor connection and patient movement typical for nurse initiated removal compared to accidental or patient initiated removals are created. The alarm protocol may be modified if the disconnection is due to patient movement. The detected movement patterns may include movement measurements that are close to the sensor that detects how the actual disconnection happens, or general movement information for the patient such as whether the patient has been still or has moved before the sensor gets disconnected. By using this information to classify the reason of the sensor removal, a more relevant alarm may be generated.

摘要: A method for verifying wireless devices connected to a wireless medical body area network, MBAN, is provided. The method comprises activating a request for verification by a user activating the request for verification on any one of the wireless devices; receiving the request for verification by the any one wireless device of the wireless MBAN; and indicating a plurality of wireless devices connected to the wireless MBAN by displaying an indication on the plurality of wireless devices. A wireless MBAN comprising wireless devices. The wireless MBAN comprises each wireless device being configured for an activation of a verification; and a plurality of the wireless devices being configured to display an identification upon the activation of the verification.

摘要: A wireless sensing device and a method for operating a wireless sensing device are described herein. The wireless sensing device includes a battery power supply and a processor that transmits detected physiological parameters from the sensing device to a monitoring device. when the battery level within the sensing device falls below a minimum threshold, the processor of the sensing device reserves a portion of the battery charge to power an indicator to increase the noticeability of the sensing device. The sensing device can also include an RFID tag that is written to by the processor when the state of charge on the battery falls below the minimum threshold. The RFID tag allows RFID detectors to sense the presence of the sensing device without requiring additional battery power.

摘要: An ECG monitoring system includes two or more active electrodes, each active electrode having an electrode pad fixable to a patient to sense physiological potentials from the patient, a common connection port, and a wireless transmitter. The system further includes a common connector electrically connected to the common connector port of each of the two or more active electrodes to provide a comparator signal to each of the active electrodes. Each of the active electrodes compares the physiological potentials sensed at the electrode pad against the comparator signal to generate a cardiac signal, and then wirelessly transmits the cardiac signal with the wireless transmitter.

摘要: A method for managing wireless devices in a wireless medical body area network, MBAN, comprises configuring the wireless MBAN based on all wireless devices of the MBAN comprising at least one sensor and at least one hub, by sharing identification data, battery status, and communication performance between wireless devices of the wireless MBAN; providing a plurality of the wireless devices with at least short range communication and long range communication; and configuring a first wireless device of the wireless MBAN as a master depending on battery status and communication performance. Thereafter, the method comprises configuring a second wireless device of the wireless MBAN as a new master if the battery status and communication performance of the master drops below that of the second wireless device; and routing data transfer within the wireless MBAN depending on the battery status and communication performance of the wireless devices of the wireless MBAN.
