    Abstract: A communication method and apparatus. A terminal device determines, based on first information received from a first network device, that a second network device has first time information, where the first time information is time information having precision that is higher than precision of second time information of the first network device. The terminal device obtains the first time information of the second network device based on the first information. The terminal device obtains high-precision time information to improve communication reliability.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a broadcast communication method and apparatus. An identifier of a first broadcast service is sent to a radio access network device, so that the radio access network device can identify the same first broadcast service in different networks. The radio access network device may send data of the broadcast service in a first network by using a resource that has been allocated to the first broadcast service in a second network. In other words, in this application, the radio access network device may share an air interface resource for a same broadcast service in different networks, so as to save transmission resources of the radio access network device and avoid a waste of air interface resources.

    Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: A first access network device receives paging capability information from a core network device or a second access network device, determines a paging area based on the paging capability information, and sends a paging message to a terminal device in the determined paging area. The paging capability information indicates one or more of the following capabilities: a maximum transmit power supported by the terminal device on a first frequency band; a bandwidth configuration supported by the terminal device; whether the terminal device supports a frequency offset of 7.5 kHz; a type of the terminal device; or a number of Rx chains supported by the terminal device. In other words, the paging capability information indicates a plurality of paging capabilities of the terminal device.

    Abstract: A communication method, a communications apparatus, and a storage medium, used for a terminal device. The method includes: receiving system information from a first cell, where the system information includes first information; and performing cell selection or cell reselection based on the first information. In the embodiments, assistance information, such as a receiving capability of a network device or a sending capability of the terminal device, may be added to the system information. The assistance information includes the first information, so that when performing the cell selection or the cell reselection, the terminal device considers more determining conditions, to prevent some terminal devices with a low sending capability from camping on an NTN that cannot work.

    Abstract: A secondary cell activation method and apparatus relating to the communications field are described herein. The method may include sending, by an access network device, an activation command to a terminal device, where the activation command indicates activating a secondary cell.
