摘要: The present invention provides a coated base fabric for airbags including: a cloth obtained by weaving polyamide (PA) fiber yarns; and a PA elastomer coating film formed on one surface or both surfaces of the cloth, wherein the coated base fabric has predetermined air tightness and flexibility, is easily converted to a PA reproduced material, and is obtained by fusing a coating film (16) made of an airflow suppression PA elastomer on one surface or both surfaces of a cloth (14) obtained by weaving yarns (12) and (12A) made of a polyamide (PA) fiber, as the PA elastomer, soft PA is normally used, which has a melting point (measured by the standard of ASTM D3418) of 135 to 200° C., a difference between the melting points of the PA fiber and PA elastomer being 80 to 120° C.

摘要: The airbag apparatus is provided with a retainer that includes a hold-down portion for attachment of a periphery of a gas inlet of an airbag to the case, a cover wall surrounding an inflator body, deflectors and catches. The cover wall includes a plurality of outlet ports for releasing inflation gas exited discharge ports of the inflator body radially. The deflectors deflect the inflation gas exited the outlet ports in a range of angle from a direction orthogonal to an axis of the inflator body to a downward direction extending toward the hold-down portion. The catches capture residual particles contained in the inflation gas when the gas deflected by the deflectors hit them.

摘要: A pedestrian protection system is mounted in the front portion of a vehicle, and includes a controller, a forward movement holding mechanism controlled in actuation by the controller, and a contact body that a pedestrian can contact. The controller, when having predicted a collision of a pedestrian with the vehicle based on a signal from a collision predicting sensor, actuates the forward movement holding mechanism to cause a forward movement of the contact body, and based on a signal from a turn sensor when the forward movement holding mechanism carries out an upward rotation or a downward rotation at the time of contact of the forwardly moved contact body with a pedestrian, controls actuation of the restraint body so as to correspond to a pedestrian moving to a front upper side of the vehicle and a pedestrian moving to a front lower side of the vehicle, respectively.

摘要: The steering wheel includes a wheel body and an airbag apparatus disposed on top of a boss. The wheel body is divided into a shaft side division joined to the steering shaft, and a ring side division disposed proximate the ring. The ring side division is rotatable with respect to the shaft side division such that a ring plane is aligned generally vertically. The boss includes an actuator that rotates and moves the ring side division to align the ring plane generally vertically. The actuator completes its operation to align the ring plane generally vertically by the time a driver contacts the inflated airbag in the course of forward motion.

摘要: The airbag apparatus is provided with a retainer that includes a hold-down portion for attachment of a periphery of a gas inlet of an airbag to the case, a cover wall surrounding an inflator body, deflectors and catches. The cover wall includes a plurality of outlet ports for releasing inflation gas exited discharge ports of the inflator body radially. 摘要: In order to simplify the fabrication process, form a lightweight air bag device and increase safety by reliably preventing damage to an insert during the inflation of an air bag, a pad according to the present invention includes a pad body made of a soft synthetic resin, such as urethane, and an insert 14 formed of a synthetic resin plate material with a shape-retaining characteristic. The insert 14 includes a substantially square cylindrical base portion 16 and two opening portions 18A, 18B integrally connected to the base portion via hinge portions 17A, 17B. Arcuate, gradual shape-changing portions 23, 24 are formed at the boundary edge portions between the base portion 16 and the hinge portions 17A, 17B and at boundary edge portions between the opening portions 18A, 18B and the hinge portions 17A, 17B, respectively to distribute stresses and minimize breakage.

摘要: A steering wheel is provided having a vibration prevention mechanism and a horn switch mechanism, the horn switch mechanism includes: first and second contact plates each having two contacts for operating a horn; coil springs provided between the first and second contact plates to space them away from each other; and guide pins for guiding the movement of the contact plates towards each other. The vibration prevention mechanism includes a mounting plate; two vibration proofing rubber members provided between the mounting plate and the second contact plate to couple the mounting place to the second contact plate. The two contacts of the first contact plates, the two contacts of the second contact plates, and the two vibration proofing members are located in one and the same plane. This arrangement allows the operator to operate the horn smoothly.

摘要: An actuator AE1 includes a lock mechanism R1 configured to fill a gas G generated by operating a gas generator 35 at inside of a cylinder 22 and moving forward a piston 38 along with a support rod 40 for restricting a rearward movement of the support rod moved forward. The support rod 40 is arranged to be able to absorb a kinetic energy of a protection object person and capable of being plastically deformed when the protection object person is received by a receiving member after having been moved forward. A lock mechanism R1 is constituted by a diameter enlarging deformed portion 42 arranged at a piston and a locking stepped portion 24 capable of restricting the rearward movement of the piston. Further, the diameter enlarging deformed portion 42 is locked by the locking stepped portion 24 by being elastically deformed by an elastic force of the diameter enlarging deformed portion 42 per se from a diameter contracting state to a diameter enlarging state when arranged to the locking stepped portion 24 after moving the piston forward.
