    摘要: A method is described for determining the angle-of-rotation position (φ) of a shaft of an internal combustion engine, in particular a crank angle (φ) of a crankshaft, information at least about incremental angles of rotation (Δφ) of the shaft and running times (T) for each incremental angle of rotation (Δφ) being detected on the basis of signals which indicate the rotation of the shaft and are spaced with intervals between them, and stored at least temporarily the instantaneous angle-of-rotation position (φ) being determined in the period of time between two signals by extrapolation of the angle-of-rotation position (φ) thus detected, taking into account at least one angular velocity ({overscore (ω)}) and/or change in angular velocity (Δ{overscore (ω)}) extrapolated from the stored information. In addition, a corresponding device is also described.

    摘要: The invention concerns a burner, particularly an auxiliary burner in a motor vehicle and most especially a burner to rapidly heat up a three way catalytic converter of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, with a fuel supply mechanism to deliver fuel to the burner, an air supply mechanism to deliver air to the burner, as well as with an open-loop or closed-loop control mechanism to set a desired fuel-air-ratio in the burner. The invention additionally concerns a procedure to operate such a burner. Provision is made, that the open-loop or closed-loop mechanism adjusts the fuel mass delivered from the fuel supply mechanism to the burner to the air mass delivered from the air supply mechanism to the burner.

To achieve significantly improved mixture preparation and combustion of the fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber, the two injectors are configured such that the first injector injects a widely divergent spray cone having a large cone angle, and the second injector injects an only slightly divergent spray cone having a much smaller cone angle.

The first selection and the second selection are made differently, in such a way that only the metering range of the first selection includes the full-load injection quantity and/or that only the metering range of the second selection covers the minimum fuel injection quantity required for operating the internal combustion engine.
