A method for receiving a 3D image broadcast signal for processing edge violation in a multi-view 3D image comprises the steps of: receiving a broadcast signal for broadcasting the multi-view 3D image; decoding from the received broadcast signal first left image data and first right image data which is included in a 3D image of a first view; parsing from the received broadcast signal 3D image processing information; generating second left image data and/or second right image data which is included in a 3D image of a second view, by using the first left image data, the first right image data, and the 3D image processing information; parsing 3D edge violation area detection function information included in the 3D image processing data; and handling edge violation of the area by using the 3D edge violation area detection function information.

The present invention provides an apparatus for transmitting a video stream, an apparatus for receiving a video stream, a method for transmitting a video stream, and a method for receiving a video stream. One embodiment of the present invention, discloses the method for transmitting the video stream, comprising the steps of: down-sampling a UHD (ultra high definition) video stream to divide the UHD video stream into a sub-stream of a viewable HD compatible video, a sub-stream of an HD-sized video, and a sub-stream of a residual signal as a difference between the HD compatible video and the HD-sized video, and encoding the divided sub-streams; multiplexing signaling information for describing the relationship between the UHD video stream and at least one sub-stream and including the sub-stream; and transmitting the multiplexed HD sub-stream and the signaling information.

The present invention relates to a signal transceiving apparatus and a signal transceiving method. One embodiment of the present invention provides a method for transmitting signals comprising the steps of: encoding video data; generating signaling information which signals displaying the encoded video data so as to fit the screen ratio of a receiver, wherein the signaling information includes screen ratio control information for displaying high-resolution video data of a first screen ratio regardless of the screen ratio of the receiver; and multiplexing the encoded video data and the signaling information and transmitting the multiplexed video data and the signaling information.

A signal transmitting method, a signal transmitting apparatus, and a signal receiving method, and a signal receiving apparatus are discussed, The signal transmitting method according to an embodiment includes encoding ultra high definition (UHD) video data; and encoding signaling information. A service type indicates a UHD digital television service using high efficiency video coding (HEVC). The signaling information includes linkage information. When a linkage type has one of specific values, the linkage type indicates additional linkage information. The UHD digital television service is signaled based on a link type and the linkage type. When a first value of the linkage type is used, an existing service is linked to a target UHD digital television service. When a second value of the linkage type is used, a UHD digital television service is linked to an existing service including a high definition or 3D service.
