Abstract: An electroluminescent display and a method of driving the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixel units electrically connected to a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines. The pixel units are arranged in a matrix of a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns, the pixel units in the same column are connected to the same data line, and the pixel units in the same diagonal line of the matrix are connected to the same gate line. The display also includes a data driver located at a first side of the display panel, the data driver being configured to drive the data lines, and a gate driver located at the first side of the display panel and configured to drive the gate lines.

Abstract: A display device and a method of operating the same is disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a display panel having a plurality of pixels electrically connected to a plurality of data lines and a power supply configured to generate at least one bias voltage. The display device also includes a charge share controller configured to calculate voltage differences between current data voltages and previous data voltages and to generate at least one charge share control signal based on the voltage differences. The display device further includes a data driver configured to selectively perform a charge share operation or a precharge operation based on the charge share control signal. The charge share operation includes electrically connecting at least two of the data lines to each other and the precharge operation includes applying the bias voltage to the data lines.

Abstract: In a display device, each of pixels includes a light emitting element and a pixel circuit which is connected to the light emitting element at a first node and drives the light emitting element in response to a corresponding driving scan signal among driving scan signals during a display period. The pixel circuit is connected to a corresponding readout line among readout lines at a second node. The sensing circuit senses a potential of the first node through the corresponding readout line during a blank period, and each of frames includes the display period and the blank period. At least two driving scan signals among the driving scan signals respectively include a plurality of rewriting periods, each of which is activated during the blank period corresponding thereto, and the rewriting periods of the driving scan signals have different durations from each other.
