Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of optical viewing systems comprising a display and a tilted optical plate arranged above this display and forming therewith substantially a dihedron. The system according to the invention comprises means for adjusting the reflection coefficient of the said tilted optical plate along an axis perpendicular to the axis of the dihedron and up to a variable height so as to ensure the total reflection of a first part of the image displayed by the display and the partial reflection of a second part of the image displayed by the display, complementary to the first part. The insertion of optical components between the display and the optical plate makes it possible to modify the distance of the display image reflected by the optical plate.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of methods of three-dimensional synthetic representation of a terrain. These methods are implemented in a vehicle piloting and navigation aid system. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: Step 1: Computation, for a determined position of the vehicle, of a first part or of the entirety of the terrain seen through the viewing system; Step 2: Computation, for the said terrain portion, of the curvature of the said terrain at each point; Step 3: Computation, as a function of the position and of the orientation of the carrier, of the position of the displayed points; Step 4: Computation of the luminance of each point of the said visible terrain portion according to a determined law, dependent on the said curvature; Step 5: Display by the viewing system of the luminance of each point.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising means for generating graphic symbols and an associated semitransparent display device. The display device according to the invention has two overlaid semitransparent flat display screens, one passive and the other active, each symbol displayed on the semitransparent display device comprising a first representation and a second representation. The first representation is displayed on the first display screen with a low transmission rate for the light and with a predetermined first size. The second representation is displayed on the second display screen in the same place as the first representation, with a luminance and a predetermined second size that is smaller than the first size so that the second representation is overlaid on the first representation and the displayed symbol appears bright with a dark border.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising an electronic calculator containing first image generation means and an associated semi-transparent display device, said display device intended to be arranged in front of an outside landscape. The display device according to the invention consists of two overlaid semi-transparent flat display screens, a photo-sensitive sensor and a position detection system. The first display screen is passive, its transmission rate being controlled by the first image generation means, the second display screen is active, its light emission being controlled by the first image generation means. The image generated is displayed either on the first display screen, or on the second display screen as a function of the outside landscape luminance information output by the photo-sensitive sensor and the position detection.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of Instrument panel or cockpit display systems. The system according to the invention comprises: a first display device comprising a semi-transparent screen upon which a first image is displayed; a second mobile display device mounted on a helmet or augmented reality glasses, the said second device comprising means of displaying a second image collimated in a predetermined visual field; a detection of the orientation and of the position of the helmet in a predetermined reference system; first means making it possible to determine the zone of intersection of the predetermined visual field with the semi-transparent screen; second means making it possible to display in the said zone of intersection of the semi-transparent screen a first specific image, and/or to display in the second display device a second specific image, which are functions of the first image and of the second image.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of heads-up display systems comprising at least one display and one optical guide comprising a first image guide comprising a plurality of first internal semi-reflecting plates, inclined with respect to a first plane. The heads-up display system according to the invention comprises: an oculometer designed to detect the position of the pupil of the eye of an observer; at least one of the said first plates comprising a processing with programmable reflectivity, the said reflectivity depending on the position and/or of the orientation of the ocular pupil detected by the oculometer, in such a manner as to reflect the image of the display towards the said pupa and only towards the latter. The display system can comprise a second image guide perpendicular to the first.

Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of optical guides for collimated images comprising a first and a second image conductor functioning by total reflection, each conductor comprising a plurality of plates that are planar, semi-reflective, mutually parallel and inclined with respect to the plane of the external faces of the image conductors. The two conductors are arranged so as to deliver a collimated image to a large pupil. The optical guide according to the invention comprises an optical beam doubler element having substantially the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. In its basic version, it comprises four external planar facets, two internal semi-reflective planar mirrors, said mirrors being mutually perpendicular, a planar entrance face intended to receive a collimated image, and an exit face adhesively bonded to the injection section of one of the image conductors. The invention also relates to the whole of the display device associated with this optical guide.
