Abstract:
A gas barrier sheet material which make effective use of natural resources and which has improved gas barrier properties including oxygen barrier properties, water vapor barrier properties and smell barrier properties, and improved flexibility; a barrier container using the same; and a method for fabricating a sheet material. A sheet material is characterized in that a fine fiber layer and a moisture-retaining layer are stacked on at least one surface of a substrate in such a way that the fine fiber layer and the moisture-retaining layer are in direct contact with each other. The invention is more advantageous when using a substrate, e.g. paper, a nonwoven fabric, or a porous membrane, of which surface profile is not flat and which is inherently susceptible to causing troubles in fabrication processes, such as of soaking, wetting and drying during coating of a coating agent.
Abstract:
A laminate having high adhesion between a fine cellulose layer and a base material, a method for producing the same, and a gas barrier material. The laminate is such that a fine cellulose layer containing fine cellulose having a carboxyl group is laminated on the base material, and a mixed layer in which the fine cellulose is mixed in the base material is further interposed between the base material and the fine cellulose layer. This laminate can be produced by coating the base material with a dispersion containing fine cellulose having a carboxyl group, swelling the base material with the thus coated dispersion, and drying the swollen base material and the coated dispersion. The laminate may also be produced by providing a swollen base material, coating the swollen base material with a dispersion containing fine cellulose having a carboxyl group, and drying the base material and the coated dispersion.
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a composition for film formation comprising cellulose fibers, a layered inorganic compound, and a water-soluble polymer, which are each dispersed on nano level, a method for preparing a cellulose dispersion capable of forming a moisture-resistant film containing cellulose nanofibers, a gas-barrier laminate obtained by use of the dispersion, and a packaging material using the laminate. [Solution] A film-forming composition comprising at least cellulose fibers and a swollen inorganic compound is prepared. The method of preparing a cellulose dispersion comprises the steps of oxidizing cellulose, fibrillating the thus oxidized cellulose to prepare cellulose nanofibers, and adding a water-soluble polymer and inorganic particles to the dispersion containing the cellulose nanofibers.

A method for preparing a cellulose dispersion includes oxidizing cellulose; preparing cellulose nanofibers by defibrating the oxidized cellulose; and adding a water-soluble polymer and inorganic particles to the dispersion containing the cellulose nanofibers.
