    Abstract: A method for diagnosing a part of a powertrain system is provided. The powertrain system comprising an internal combustion engine system having an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of cylinders, each cylinder being provided with an air inlet valve and an exhaust gas valve, the method comprising the steps of operating any one of the inlet valve and the exhaust valve for any one of the cylinders to adjust the frequency and/or duration of air pulses during different load conditions of the internal combustion engine; determining an operational behaviour of the part of the powertrain system in response to the adjusted frequency and/or duration of the air pulses; and comparing the determined operational behaviour of the part of the powertrain system with an expected behaviour of the part of the powertrain system.

    Abstract: A fuel injector arrangement for supplying fuel into a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injector arrangement includes a fuel injector and a sealing ring which is arranged around the circumference of the fuel injector. The sealing ring is located between a fuel inlet and/or outlet of the fuel injector located nearest to an injector tip of the fuel injector and the injector tip, wherein the sealing ring has an asymmetrical cross section with a narrow end extending towards the injector tip and a wider end extending away from the injector tip.     Abstract: The invention relates to a cylinder valve assembly (19) comprising a pneumatic valve spring arrangement (25) including a first (29) and a second (31) valve spring member defining a valve spring cavity (33), and a valve spring venting arrangement (27) comprising a first venting cavity portion (37) in fluid flow connection with the valve spring cavity (33); a second venting cavity portion (39); a movable sealing member (41) arranged to allow a pressure difference between the first venting cavity portion (37) and the second venting cavity portion (39); a feedback channel fluid flow connecting the first venting cavity portion (37) and the second venting cavity portion (39); and a venting channel (53). The sealing member (41) is configured to be movable between a first sealing member position where the sealing member (41) prevents fluid flow from the first venting cavity portion (37) through the venting channel (53); and a second sealing member position where the sealing member (41) allows fluid flow from the first venting cavity portion (37) through the venting channel (53). The valve spring venting arrangement (27) further comprises an elastic member (55) urging the sealing member (41) towards the first sealing member position.

    Abstract: An internal combustion engine, ICE, system, includes a turbocharger having a turbine and a compressor for compressing intake air and feeding the intake air to the ICE. A turbo turbine unit is disposed in an exhaust gas path downstream the turbocharger to receive exhaust gas from the turbocharger. The turbo turbine unit having a turbine wheel, a bearing housing defining an inside volume for containing lubrication oil, and a sealing arrangement positioned in the vicinity of the turbine wheel for preventing lubrication oil from escaping from the inside volume of the bearing housing to an exhaust duct of the turbo turbine unit. A buffer air conduit extends between a selected position at the compressor and a buffer air inlet of the turbo turbine unit. The buffer air inlet is in fluid communication with a buffer air channel inside the turbo turbine unit to direct buffer air to a position in-between axially opposite arranged annular sealing members to provide a counter-pressure against at least one of the annular sealing members.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a system (100) for operating a valve of an internal combustion engine (10), said system comprising a primary fluid circuit (60) configured to define a fluid passageway for circulating a compressible fluid medium there through being operatively connectable to an actuator (92) of an actuated flow control valve (90, 95) of said internal combustion engine, thereby capable of delivering a valve opening force. The system further comprises: a secondary fluid circuit (80) configured to define a secondary fluid passageway for transporting a compressed fluid medium, and having an inlet passage (87) connectable to a cylinder for receiving the compressed fluid medium; and an auxiliary pressurized system (81) comprising a chamber (83) and at least one reciprocating member (82) operable in said chamber (83), said auxiliary pressurized system (81) being arranged in fluid communication with said secondary fluid circuit (80) and in fluid communication with said primary fluid circuit such that said at least one reciprocating member (82) pressurizes said primary fluid circuit when said compressed fluid medium of the secondary fluid circuit acts on said at least one reciprocating member (82).
