Abstract:
An audio playback time estimating apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a sampling unit to sample a plurality of sample frames of audio data from audio data including an ID3 tag and a plurality of frames using a quasi-random sampling method, an average-bit-rate-calculation unit to calculate an average bit rate of the audio data based on bit rates obtained from the plurality of sample frames, and a playback-time-calculation unit to estimate the playback time of the audio data based on the average bit rate.
Abstract:
A backlight apparatus and a display apparatus are provided. The backlight apparatus includes N first switch units to switch a plurality of currents flowing in respective N light emitting element arrays according to an input brightness control signal, N second switch units to switch a plurality of currents flowing in respective N capacitors according to the input brightness control signal, and a reference current generation unit to generate and output a reference current based on the input brightness control signal. An inverter unit adjusts a total current supplied to all of the light emitting element arrays in total to be equal to the reference current if the total current is different from the reference current.
Abstract:
A fusing device includes a pressing member, a belt member to rotate in contact with the pressing member, a nip forming member to support the belt member so that nip areas are formed on the pressing member and the belt member at contacting portions thereto, a heating member disposed away from the nip areas, to heat the belt member, and a tension application member to stiffen the belt member so that the heating member is tightly contacted with the belt member. The heating member includes a plate type heating element which is arranged at an upstream side of the nip areas, and to contact an inner circumference of the belt member, in an advancing direction of the fusing belt. The effective width of then nip areas increases, and the increased pressure is exerted to the nip areas, because the fusing belt enters a location where the nip areas are formed in a heated state. Furthermore, heating efficiency of the fusing belt is increased, because the fusing belt is heated while in a tight contact with the heating member. As a result, fusing performance is enhanced.
Abstract:
Disclosed are shutter 3D spectacles which are used for a display apparatus displaying a left eye image and a right eye image alternately, the shutter 3D spectacles including a left eye shutter and a right eye shutter which are open and closed; a signal receiver which receives a synchronization signal from the display apparatus to operate the left eye shutter and the right eye shutter; and a controller which opens and closes the left eye shutter and the right eye shutter based on the synchronization signal, and the controller controlling the left eye shutter and the right eye shutter to operate the 3D spectacles in one of a 2D mode and a 3D mode. The shutter 3D spectacles operates selectively in a 2D mode and a 3D mode and provides a 2D image for a user even when a 3D image is being displayed.
Abstract:
A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes: a display panel; and a backlight unit which provides the display panel with backlight. The backlight unit includes: a converter which converts a voltage of a received power and outputs an output power, a plurality of light source modules which receives the output power from the converter, and a control unit which determines powering conditions to operate the plurality of the light source modules in a specific state for each of the plurality of light source modules, and controls the converter sequentially based on the determined powering conditions.
Abstract:
An apparatus for preventing abnormal voltage, a light emitting module, and a display apparatus are provided. The present apparatus for preventing abnormal voltage extracts the highest voltage and the lowest voltage among voltage applied from a plurality of loads, includes two voltage distribution units distributing the highest voltage and the lowest voltage, and detects whether the highest voltage and the lowest voltage applied from the voltage distribution unit are within a predetermined range. Accordingly, the apparatus for preventing abnormal voltage is not affected greatly in terms of its size and cost even if the number of loads to be protected increases.
Abstract:
A display apparatus and a power circuit device thereof are provided. The power circuit device includes: a transforming unit which outputs a first output current and a second output current in response to change of an input current; a first switching unit which switches to allow the input current to be selectively input; a first switch control unit which controls the first switching unit so that an operation voltage of the display apparatus reaches a first target value; a second switching unit which switches to allow the second output current to be selectively output; a backlight driving unit which drives the backlight based on the second output current; and a second switch control unit which controls the second switching unit so that a driving voltage of the backlight reaches a second target value.
Abstract:
