Abstract: A tire includes a tread portion being provided with circumferential grooves extending continuously in a zigzag manner. One of the circumferential grooves includes first inclined elements inclined in a first direction with respect to the tire circumferential direction, second inclined elements inclined in a second direction opposite to the first direction with respect to the tire circumferential direction, and intersections where the first inclined elements and second inclined elements intersect. Each of the first inclined elements and the second inclined elements is provided with at least one first protrusion that projects outwardly in a tire radial direction from the groove bottom and connects the pair of groove walls. At least one of the intersections is provided with a second protrusion that projects outwardly in the tire radial direction from the groove bottom and is separated from the pair of groove walls.

Abstract: A heavy duty tire can have a tread portion that includes a plurality of circumferential grooves that zigzag, a plurality of lateral grooves connecting between zigzag vertexes of the circumferential grooves, and a plurality of hexagonal blocks formed by the circumferential grooves and the lateral grooves. A groove depth of the circumferential groove can be 21 mm or more. Each of the hexagonal blocks can include a three-dimensional sipe extending across the hexagonal block. The lateral groove can include a raised portion formed by raising a groove bottom of the lateral groove to connect between the hexagonal blocks adjacent to each other in the tire circumferential direction.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire has paired bead portions, paired sidewall portions, a tread portion, a plurality of lug grooves extending from a shoulder area of the tread portion to reach a buttress area of the sidewall portion, and a block defined by the plurality of lug grooves. The block includes a shoulder block provided in the shoulder area, and a buttress block provided in the buttress area. The buttress area is provided with an annular rib annularly extending along a tire circumferential direction. The lug grooves are comparted into an outside lug groove positioned in an outer side of the annular rib, and an inside lug groove positioned in an inner side of the annular rib. A widened portion is provided in at least part of the plurality of lug grooves so as to enlarge a width of the annular rib.

A step or a protrusion where the buttress block has a largest upraised height is provided in the tire diametrical position of the connecting portion.

Abstract: A vehicle tire has outer shoulders and two tread halves. The tire includes a tread having six block rows and a plurality of circumferential grooves. Mutually adjacent ones of the block rows are separated from each other by a corresponding one of the plurality of circumferential grooves. Each of the block rows has individual blocks separated from each other by mutually parallel essentially straight transverse grooves running at an angle to the axial direction of the tire. The circumferential grooves include first circumferential grooves having a maximum profile depth and second circumferential grooves having a second profile depth less than the maximum profile depth. The transverse grooves have a depth approximately corresponding to a maximum profile depth at first outlet locations. The transverse grooves have a depth corresponding to the second profile depth at second outlet locations.

Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire with a tread pattern that includes two first circumferential main grooves, shoulder land portions, shoulder lug grooves, shoulder sipes, and narrow circumferential grooves, the shoulder lug grooves being closed off midway in the region of the shoulder land portions without connecting with the first circumferential main grooves and including first regions and second regions that are disposed in the regions closer to the first circumferential main grooves than the first regions and have a groove depth that is less than that of the first regions. The shoulder sipes are connected with the second regions and extend toward the first circumferential main grooves. The narrow circumferential grooves extend in the tire circumferential direction and have a groove width that is less than the groove width of the shoulder lug grooves. The narrow circumferential grooves intersect with the second regions of the shoulder lug grooves.

At least one block includes at least two sipes which divide the block into three or more sections in the tire circumferential direction. A pair of reinforcing projections which projects in the main groove is formed on both end portions of the block in the tire circumferential direction ranging from a side wall of the block to a groove bottom of the main groove. A connecting rib which connects distal end portions of the pair of reinforcing projections to each other is formed on the groove bottom of the main groove.

Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire includes a tread portion provided with circumferentially extending zigzag shaped main grooves, a plurality of land portions separated by the main grooves, and a plurality of lateral grooves to form a plurality of block elements on each land portion. Each land portion comprises a number of pitches in a range of from 40 to 50, wherein each pitch consists of one block element and one lateral groove adjacent to the concerned block element. Each block element has a length in a range of from 85% to 95% of a length of the pitch. The main grooves include a crown main groove, a shoulder main groove, and a middle main groove. The middle main groove has a zigzag amplitude larger than those of the crown main groove and the shoulder main groove.
