摘要: A method for performing spacetime-constrained oblivious transfer between a party A and a party B. The method includes imposing relativistic signaling constraints on a cryptographic task of one out-of-m oblivious transfer involving parties A and B. The method further includes using quantum systems for the one-out of-m oblivious transfer. The method guarantees unconditional security of the spacetime-constrained oblivious transfer, based on the imposed relativistic signaling constraints and based on using quantum systems for the one-out of-m oblivious transfer.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support multiplexing uplink transmissions with transmit diversity with a single carrier waveform. Two or more UEs may be configured to use space time block codes (STBC) for transmissions using multiple uplink antennas. A first UE may be configured to use a first STBC for a first uplink transmission. An orthogonal cover code (OCC), such as a Walsh code, may be applied to the first STBC to generate a second STBC, and a second UE may use the second STBC for a second uplink transmission. The first UE and the second UE may concurrently transmit the first uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission. The first STBC and the second STBC may be applied across multiple OFDM symbols, or may be applied within an OFDM symbol on a modulated symbol level.

摘要: Modulated signal A is transmitted from a first antenna, and modulated signal B is transmitted from a second antenna. As modulated signal B, modulated symbols S2(i) and S2(i+1) obtained from different data are transmitted at time i and time i+1 respectively. In contrast, as modulated signal A, modulated symbols S1(i) and S1(i)′ obtained by changing the signal point arrangement of the same data are transmitted at time i and time i+1 respectively. As a result the reception quality can be changed intentionally at time i and time i+1, and therefore using the demodulation result of modulated signal A of a time when the reception quality is good enables both modulated signals A and B to be demodulated with good error rate performances.

摘要: A plurality of modulation signals is generated. Each of the plurality of modulation signals includes a pilot symbol sequence having a plurality of pilot symbols. Each pilot symbol sequence is inserted at a same temporal point in each modulation signal, and each pilot symbol in the pilot symbol sequence has a non-zero amplitude. A quantity of the plurality of pilot symbols in each pilot symbol sequence is greater than or equal to a quantity of the plurality of modulation signals to be transmitted. The plurality of modulation signals are transmitted in an identical frequency band from a plurality of antennas. Each of the transmitted plurality of modulation signals includes transmission data and one of the pilot symbol sequences.

摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for compression of frequent data values across narrow links are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a processor, a link interface unit, and a communication link. The link interface unit is configured to receive a data stream for transmission over the communication link, wherein the data stream is generated by the processor. The link interface unit determines if blocks of data of a first size from the data stream match one or more first data patterns and the link interface unit determines if blocks of data of a second size from the data stream match one or more second data patterns. The link interface unit sends, over the communication link, only blocks of data which do not match the first or second data patterns.

摘要: Method for computing likelihoods in a process for reconstructing decoded information words from vectors of observations received from a wireless channel and generated from vectors of transmission symbols using a plurality of Alamouti matrix based Differential Space Time Block Codes coder. The method comprises applying an iterative reconstruction process, comprising, in a current iteration: receiving a vector of observations; determining, at least one vector of approximated scaling factors to be applied to the vector of observations; determining for each vector of approximated scaling factors a vector of approximated scaled equivalent channel models; and, computing likelihoods in the form of values representative of joint probabilities of obtaining the vector of observations knowing a vector of modulated symbols and a model of the wireless channel using each determined vector of approximated scaling factors and each determined vector of approximated scaled equivalent channel models.

The technique may further involve decoding, by a decoder, the determination output to provide a decoded signal.

摘要: Aspects of the invention include methods and devices for inserting data and pilot symbols into Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) frames having a time domain and a frequency domain. A method involves inserting in at least one zone of a first type a two dimensional array of data and pilot symbols in time and frequency and inserting in at least one zone of a second type a two dimensional array of data and pilot symbols in time and frequency. In some implementations the zone of the first type comprises common pilot symbols that can be detected by all receivers receiving the OFDM frame. In some implementations the zone of the second type comprises dedicated pilot symbols that are only detectable by a receiver that is aware of pre-processing used to encode the dedicated pilot symbols.

摘要: A wireless local area network (WLAN) transmitter includes a baseband processing module and a plurality of radio frequency (RF) transmitters. The processing module selects one of a plurality of modes of operation based on a mode selection signal. The processing module determines a number of transmit streams based on the mode selection signal. The processing of the data further continues by converting encoded data into streams of symbols in accordance with the number of transmit streams and the mode selection signal. A number of the plurality of RF transmitters are enabled based on the mode selection signal to convert a corresponding one of the streams of symbols into a corresponding RF signal such that a corresponding number of RF signals is produced.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for efficient demapping of constellations are described. In an embodiment, these methods may be implemented within a digital communications receiver, such as a Digital Terrestrial Television receiver. The method reduces the number of distance metric calculations which are required to calculate soft information in the demapper by locating the closest constellation point to the received symbol. This closest constellation point is identified based on a comparison of distance metrics which are calculated parallel to either the I- or Q-axis. The number of distance metric calculations may be reduced still further by identifying a local minimum constellation point for each bit in the received symbol and these constellation points are identified using a similar method to the closest constellation point. Where the system uses rotated constellations, the received symbol may be unrotated before any constellation points are identified.
