Abstract: A pressure sensing system, seat cushion incorporating the pressure sensing system, and method of sensing a weight group associated with an occupant of an automotive seat are described. The pressure sensing system includes a layer of an electrically conductive foam and a flexible printed circuit that includes a flexible substrate and N horizontal sensing wires and M vertical sensing wires securely placed on a top surface of the flexible substrate. The horizontal sensing wires intersect with the vertical sensing wires and form (N×M) intersections. The layer of an electrically conductive foam is placed on top of the N horizontal sensing wires and the M vertical sensing wires. When a pressure is applied to the layer of the electrically conductive foam, each intersection generates in real time an electric flux density value to reflect a degree of a compression caused by the pressure to a corresponding point of the electrically conductive foam.

Abstract: A process for producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate construction board, the process comprising of providing an A-side reactant stream that includes an isocyanate-containing compound; providing a B-side reactant stream that includes a polyol, where the B-side reactant steam includes a blowing agent mixture including isopentane and a blowing agent additive that has a Hansen Solubility Parameter (δt) that is greater than 15 MPa0.5; and mixing the A-side reactant stream with the B-side reactant stream to produce a reaction mixture.

Abstract: A pressure sensing system (24), seat cushion (20) incorporating the pressure sensing system, and method of sensing a weight group associated with an occupant of an automotive seat are described. Abstract: Provided is a foam in place simulation method that simulates steps of forming a foam in place molded product by supplying a foaming raw material inside a surface skin that is disposed inside a mold through an inlet port thus filling a foamed body into the surface skin. The method is configured to simulate the steps of: setting a shape of the inside of the mold as a fixed boundary condition; setting a material characteristic value of the surface skin whose shape changes corresponding to a filling state of the foamed body into the surface skin; and forming the foam in place molded product from the surface skin by filling the foamed body into the surface skin based on the shape of the surface skin at the time of setting the surface skin inside the mold based on the fixed boundary condition and the material characteristic value.
