摘要： A handling system for a receptacle space in a vehicle for storage for containers. A linear guide is on an inner wall of the receptacle space. The linear guide guides at least one carrier element in the movement direction of the container, wherein the storage position of the container is provided having the rear wall thereof in the region of the rear wall of the receptacle space. The removal position is provided in the region of an insertion opening, arranged opposite the rear wall. The at least one carrier element is operatively connected to at least one spindle nut of a spindle drive. The container is thus moved linearly from a stowage and storage position to a removal position and vice versa.

The terminal includes: an interface circuit connectable to the camera, and a processor configured to: control the camera to capture an image, execute object recognition processing on the image and determine one or more candidate items using a result of the recognition processing, when only one candidate item is determined by the recognition processing, register the candidate item as an item for purchase, and when two or more candidate items are determined by the recognition processing, execute character recognition processing on the image and determine a character string in the image, and register one of the candidate items as an item for purchase using a result of the character recognition processing.

The user-facing module may include imaging devices, such as cameras, that the mobile apparatus uses to perform one or more functions. For example, the mobile apparatus may use the imaging devices to identify items placed within the basket, determine locations of the mobile apparatus within a facility, and/or the like. By including these components, the mobile apparatus is able to generate data that represents the items added to the mobile apparatus, the weights of the items, and the costs of the items.

摘要： A system for monitoring and controlling shopping cart usage comprises a wheel assembly that attaches to a shopping cart. In some embodiments the wheel assembly includes a wheel, a brake that can be activated to inhibit rotation of the wheel, a controller that controls the brake, a VLF receiver, and an RF transceiver. The RF transceiver may, for example, operate in a 2.4 GHz frequency band. In some implementations, the RF transceiver may be used to detect entry of the shopping cart into a checkout area of the store, and the VLF receiver may be used to detect that the shopping cart is exiting the store. The controller may activate the brake if the shopping cart attempts to exit the store without first passing through a checkout area.
