摘要: A composition for addition to a ceiling tile, flooring product, or other construction product may include microfibrillated cellulose and optionally an inorganic particulate material. The ceiling tile, flooring product, or other construction product may further include perlite, mineral wool, wood pulp, starch and other additives, where the wood pulp and other inorganic particulate materials are bonded to the microfibrillated cellulose. Methods of manufacturing the compound are also disclosed.

摘要: The present invention relates to multi-layer fiber products and a method of manufacturing these kinds of products. The present product comprises a first layer consists mainly of natural fibers and a second, heat-sealing layer located on top of the first layer. The heat-sealing layer consists mainly of synthetic thermoplastic fibers or particles. According to the present method, the heat-sealing layer is brought onto the first layer already during the web forming process, the first and the second layers being formed and joined together in a foam forming process. With the present invention, it is possible to decrease the amount of plastic materials in packaging materials having heat-sealing properties.

摘要: A method for producing an inorganic silica gel fiber or aerogel fiber, comprising the following steps: a) extrusion of a gel, in particular a hydrogel or alcogel, by means of a spinneret directly into a coagulation bath to form at least one filament, b) stretching of the filament in the coagulation bath, c) regeneration of the filament by extraction from the coagulation bath, and d) supercritical drying or freeze drying in order to convert the filament into a silica fiber, in particular an aerogel fiber.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide fiber mat facers, ceiling panels, and method of manufacturing the same. A fiber mat facer may include a non-woven web of fibers having a first group of fibers with an average fiber diameter from about 6 μm to about 20 μm and a second group of fibers with an average fiber diameter from about 0.5 μm to about 5 μm. The fiber mat facer may also include a binder to bond together the non-woven web of fibers into the fiber mat. The binder may include a water repellant additive. The binder and/or fiber mat facer may further include an additive that enhances the opacity of the fiber mat facer. The fiber mat facer may also include a paint applied to an outer surface of the facer. The paint may include an additive that enhances the visual appeal of the facer and/or ceiling panel.

摘要: The invention provides a method of manufacture of man-made vitreous fibers (MMVF) comprising: providing a fiberizing apparatus, wherein the fiberizing apparatus comprises: a set of at least three rotors each mounted for rotation about a different substantially horizontal axis; wherein each rotor has a driving means; rotating the rotors; wherein the first rotor rotates to give an acceleration field of from 25 to 60 km/s2 and the second and third rotors each rotate to give an acceleration field of at least 125 km/s2, providing a mineral melt, wherein the melt has a composition comprising the following, expressed by wt of oxides: SiO2 in an amount of from 33 to 45 wt %, Al2O3 in an amount of from 16 to 24 wt %, an amount of K2O and/or Na2O, an amount of CaO and/or MgO, wherein the ratio of the amount of Al2O3 to the amount of SiO2 is in the range 0.34-0.73, wherein the ratio of the total amount of K2O and Na2O, to the total amount of CaO and MgO, is less than 1; pouring the melt on to the periphery of the first rotor; wherein melt poured on to the periphery of the first rotor in the set is thrown on to the periphery of the subsequent rotors in turn and fibers are thrown off the rotors; and collecting the fibers that are formed. Man-made vitreous fibers (MMVF) can thus be formed having a median length of 100 to 300 μm, a median diameter of not more than 2.5 μm, and wherein the ratio of the median fiber length to median fiber diameter is 25 to 500.

The filter medium can have a first surface and a second surface defining a thickness. The medium can comprise a region having a gradient. Such a gradient is formed by having a medium wherein the concentration of a fiber, a property or other component varies from one surface to the next surface. The gradient region of the media can comprise the entire thickness of the medium or can comprise a region that comprises a portion of the media thickness. The media are characterized by the presence of a continuous change of the fiber concentration or property within the region.

摘要: A high-transparence fiberglass paper includes vegetable parchment which is successively coated with a base layer, a second layer and a protective layer on both sides. The base layer and protective layer are prepared using water-based paints, while the second layer is prepared using UV ink through curing. The transparency and surface smoothness of the fiber is thereby greatly improved. Through treatment on the both surfaces, the paper can be processed into a light and smooth paper, with a surface smoothness of both sides more than 200 s, just like hyaline paper.

摘要: Hybrid nonwoven mats are made by depositing a slurry of fibers and water onto a fibrous web and applying a binder onto the hybrid nonwoven mat formed therefrom. The fibers are sized and present in an amount such that the binder forms a substantially continuous film on the hybrid nonwoven mat. Gypsum panels may be faced with a hybrid nonwoven mat on one or both surfaces.
