    摘要: A cap flashing device for overlapping and joining two upper-end pieces of valley flashing within two valleys on a main roof is provided. An adjoining roof forms the two valleys where it meets the main roof. The device comprises a sheet of material having top and bottom surfaces and a raised triangular portion in the material and extending above the material. The triangular portion has a pair of sides in an angled relation to the remaining portion of the material with the remaining portion remaining substantially planar. Upon positioning the material upon the roof, the triangular portion is positioned over the adjoining roof and the remaining portion of the material overlapping and joining the upper end pieces of the flashing thereby inhibiting leakage in either of the valleys with the entire material in complete direct contact with the main roof with the sides being free from any folds or tucks.

    摘要: Disclosed is a roof assembly for a modular building unit that comprises a roofing sheet that is welded to the frame of the modular building unit to form a unitary, continuous sealed weld between the roofing sheet and the generally horizontal structural frame of the modular building unit, and that is pitched to downwardly direct water toward one end of the modular building unit. The welded roof assembly prevents water infiltration into the modular building unit, and such watertight structure may then receive any gutter configuration the user wishes to implement without risking water infiltration into the building unit. The welded roofing sheet avoids the use of screws or other fasteners, and the associated possibility of water leakage around the screws and into the building unit. The welded roof also is able to employ a single slope all of the way through the full span of the roof, thus avoiding the need for a centrally pitched roof assembly, and its unitary construction avoids the tiling effect that results from the use of multiple, overlapping roofing sheets. The welded roof also avoids the need for silicon or other filler agents between the unitary roofing sheet and the frame of the modular building unit.

    摘要: A solar panel cap and light cap secured to a wall or parapet through the use of a fixed coping having two vertical supports on either side of a locking channel. The vertical supports are biased or resilient to secure the coping to the top of the parapet or wall. The locking channel is configured to slidably receive a locking insert from a solar panel cap or light cap, each configured to connect to an adjacent cap such that they are electrically coupled. The solar panel caps include a horizontal base and an angled solar panel pivotally attached on one edge to the horizontal base. Support plates are pivotally attached to opposite edges of both the horizontal base and the angled solar panel such that when they overlap and are secured to one another the angled solar panel is adjustably positionable relative to the horizontal base.

    摘要: The present invention provides an insulation panel used to form part of an exterior element of a buildings envelope for thermal insulation, ventilation, heating and cooling purpose having an internal duct that provides heat exchange between counter flowing waste and fresh air streams, oriented through the panel to minimise undesirable heat transfer. Ventilation air enters beneath the eaves, waste air exits beneath the ridge passing the coil of a reversible heat pump. The paired coil inside the building in the upper roof space within the fresh air stream is used for heating or cooling the building. Ducted waste air, leaving the building at this same position, can be supplied with a water mist before entering the heat exchanger to provide further indirect evaporative cooling of the incoming air stream. The waste air is also used to cool solar panels when fitted to the roof.
