摘要: An acoustic displacement flowmeter uses a high-compliance acoustic-type displacement transducer to measure fluid flow accumulated by temporarily restricting the flow of a fluid along a path. The displacement transducer signal, representative of fluid flow rate, is integrated after an initial settling period elapses, and the integrated signal is periodically sampled. The number of samples taken during a measurement cycle depends upon the slope of the integrated signal and the maximum sample period permitted. The samples are summed and the actual flow rate is computed by a microcomputer.

摘要: The invention concerns a permanent magnet front or central coupling unit that generally works through a watt to transfer measured values and torque in units that may, for example, be used in the volume gauge technology. In accordance with the task, the permanent magnet coupling shall be designed so that its transferable maximum torque is not present in the starting state and that it thus exhibits vibration-damping properties. In accordance with the invention, this is achieved by the fact that one or several permanent magnets are arranged in a fixed manner and that the poles are located such that they produce repulsive forces in their effective direction, i.e., the respective opposite magnet poles are of equal denomination. In the stationary state, the magnet poles thus occupy the greatest possible distance from each other, resulting in the lowest possible transferable torque. As a function of the required load, the coupling halves begin to rotate and the transferable torque increases to the required value. The coupling thus exhibits vibration-damping properties.

摘要: A method for regulating the flow of a viscosity-dependent liquid in a graphic process, including a pump (5) configured for pumping a viscosity-dependent liquid (3) from a first container (4) and to a graphic printing machine (1), and wherein the viscosity of the liquid (3) affects operation of the pump (5), a sensor (8) connected with the pump (5) and which is configured to measure at least one of the operational parameters of the pump (5), and a controller (9) connected with the sensor (8) and which is configured to analyze the data from the sensor (8). The controller (9) determines the viscosity of the liquid (3) from the measured operational parameters of the pump (5) and generates a control signal (17) from the measured viscosity, based on which the viscosity of the liquid (3) pumped through the pump (5) can be adjusted.

摘要: A moisture removal system and method employing air movers, dehumidifiers, heaters and attendant methods for reducing moisture in a construction project. The method and system include operating moisture removal equipment and testing moisture content levels sufficient to reduce the moisture content levels to a desired threshold to reduce the likelihood of mold growing or moisture damage in the construction after it is completed.

摘要: A tank mass measuring assembly (10) for monitoring an amount of a fluid (20) stored in a tank (12). The monitoring assembly includes a mass measurement chamber (42) adapted to be located remotely of a tank and adapted to be coupled in fluid communication with the tank to receive a portion of a fluid stored in the tank. The monitoring assembly further includes a sensor assembly (16) at least partially disposed in the mass measurement chamber, the sensor assembly adapted to measure a mass of the fluid disposed in the mass measurement chamber. The sensor assembly is adapted to relay the measured mass to a computation device (90) for determining the amount of the fluid in the tank based upon the measured mass of the fluid disposed in the mass measurement chamber.

摘要: Measuring apparatus for calibrating flow meters and the like comprising a piston slidably mounted within piston cylinder means which receives gas passing through the flow meter being calibrated to cause the piston to be lifted. A precision encoder is rotated responsive to the movement of tape means aligned with the central axis of the piston and entrained about a pulley driving said encoder means. The tape is also connected to counterbalancing weight means for enhancing the sensitivity and accuracy of the measuring apparatus. The system electronics initiate operation of timer means upon the first pulse generated by the encoder means after operation of a start button and terminates the operation of the timer means upon the first encoder pulse generated after operation of stop button.Temperature and pressure in the piston cylinder are constantly monitored. These readings are employed at the time flow rate calculations are performed to correct the flow rate calculated to standard temperature and pressure.A release valve and/or limit switch means is provided to protect both the equipment and operators from damage or injury due to malfunctions, the release valve being adapted to open when the pressure within the container builds to a predetermined level and the limit switch being adapted to shut down the apparatus when the piston moves beyond a predetermined limit position. An arrangement for collecting the mercury employed in the sliding liquid seal is designed to prevent intermixing of the gas and the mercury.
