Abstract: A production method for obtaining a stacked device from a wafer is provided. The wafer has: a device forming region formed on a surface having plural devices formed thereon, the devices having surfaces and thicknesses; a peripheral extra region surrounding the device forming region; and plural metal electrodes embedded in the surfaces of the devices and having thicknesses which are equal to or larger than the thicknesses of the devices. The method includes: a protective tape applying process for applying a protective tape to the surface of the wafer; a rear surface recess forming process for thinning only a region, which corresponds to the device forming region, on a rear surface by grinding, thereby forming a recess on the rear surface, forming a ring-shaped protrusion projecting from the rear surface on the peripheral extra region, and exposing the metal electrodes at the rear surface; an etching process for removing mechanical damage, which is provided to the recess by the grinding, by etching to the recess, and forming a rear surface side electrode portion by projecting the exposed metal electrodes from a bottom surface of the recess; and a dividing process for dividing the wafer into the devices.

Abstract: A passenger vehicle safety system is provided which comprises a violation system, a warning system or an inside system. The violation system collects evidence of traffic violation occurring in a vicinity of a passenger vehicle. The warning system provides a warning to individuals outside and in the vicinity of the passenger vehicle. The intra-vehicle system collects images of persons inside, or in the vicinity of, the passenger vehicle, so as to allow the passenger vehicle's driver or one or more individuals located at a remote location, some distance from the passenger, to monitor activity in and around the passenger vehicle. Information captured by the inside system can be viewed in real time, as the information is being collected, or some time later, or both.

Abstract: A method and system of post-processing of sensing data generated by a medical device that includes transmitting a plurality of stored sensing data generated by the medical device to an access device, the stored sensing data including sensed atrial events and sensed ventricular events. The access device determines, in response to the transmitted data, instances where the medical device identified a cardiac event being detected in response to the sensing data, and determines whether there is an abrupt onset of the cardiac event in response to the transmitted data.

Abstract: A mounting bracket is used for positioning an electronic device relative to a frame of a forklift truck. A base plate includes a pair of openings therethrough. Each of the pair of openings receives an electronic device therein. Each of the pair of openings includes an elongated recess extending from the opening of the base plate. The elongated recess permits the opening to be in communication with a region exterior to the base plate. A pair of hangers is connected to the base plate and each of the hangers is configured to engage with the forklift truck. A cover plate is configured to enclose each of the pair of the opening so as to protect the electronic device during operation of the forklift truck.

Abstract: A digital recording device comprising a running time clock or counter. The running time clock or counter is displayed on a viewfinder and/or recorded on video tape when the digital recording device is in record mode. The running time clock or counter indicates the time during which video is recorded, starting from the beginning of a recording session. The running time clock may be reset at the discretion of the user. The device may include an RF link to a game clock, and may record the game clock time in addition to, or in lieu of, the running time clock. The present invention may advantageously be used in conjunction with sporting events, time lapse recording applications and usability studies, for example.

Abstract: A method for designating communication paths in a computer network is provided, in which communication paths are designated for the transmission of data throughout a network. The network may have both recipient computers, which are the intended recipients of the data, and intermediary computers, which are not the intended recipients, but merely relay the data. Each intermediary computer is grouped with the “closest” recipient computer (i.e. the recipient computer with whom it is “least expensive” to communicate). Communication paths between the resulting groups are then identified. A representation of the network is then created. The representation replaces the intermediary computers with the inter-group communication paths, so that the inter-group communication paths appear to pass directly through the locations occupied by the intermediary computers. The created representation is then further processed so that the “least expensive” communication paths may be designated.

Abstract: A die cast mold release lubricant comprises a silicone compound. A method of application of the lubricant to a die cast mold as a release agent is disclosed where a die casting machine has a mold with mold halves forming a mold cavity when the mold halves abut against one another, a shot sleeve and a plunger which pushes molten material through the shot sleeve and into the mold cavity. The mold release agent is placed into the shot sleeve remote from the mold cavity, molten material is introduced into the shot sleeve, and the molten material and the mold release agent are forced into the mold cavity by movement of the plunger into the shot sleeve. The silicone compound preferably has a melting point of about 90-220° F., and a molecular weight of about 5500-50,000.
