    Abstract: A vehicle door assembly includes an inner door panel, a pillar panel and a first cushioning pad. The inner door panel has an attachment area, a first edge portion and a second edge portion, with the first edge portion defining hinge attachment locations. The pillar panel is fixedly attached to at least the second edge portion and the attachment area such that the inner door panel and the pillar panel define a hollow B-pillar structure. The pillar panel further includes an offset portion that is spaced apart from a central portion of the attachment area of the inner door panel such that the attachment area and the offset portion define a recessed area therebetween. The first cushioning pad has a main body installed within the recessed area between the offset portion of the pillar panel and the inner door panel.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling a vehicle are herein disclosed. A method includes receiving vehicle data and external data from a vehicle control system of a vehicle and generating an environment representation of an area of the transportation network proximate to the vehicle location. The method includes displaying the environment representation in a GUI and receiving a solution path via the graphical user interface, the solution path indicating a route and one or more stop points. The method includes transmitting the route to the vehicle including a respective geolocation of each of the one or more stop points. The vehicle receives the route and begins traversing the transportation network based on the solution path. The method includes receiving updated vehicle data and/or updated external data from the vehicle and updating the environment representation based thereon. The method includes displaying, the updated environment representation via the graphical user interface.

    Abstract: Activating an engine of a HEV to charge a battery includes obtaining a first GPS trace from a first trip of the HEV along a first route, where the first GPS trace includes first trace metadata; obtaining a second GPS trace from a second trip, where the second GPS trace includes second trace metadata; adding, to a navigation map, an aggregation of the first trace metadata and the second trace metadata for edges of the navigation map; using the navigation map to obtain an activation action of the engine, where the activation action is selected from a set that includes a first activation action of turning the engine on and a second activation action of turning the engine off; and activating the engine according to the activation action, where activating the engine using the first activation action causes the engine to turn on to charge the battery of the HEV.

The closed state encloses the fuel filler opening.     Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, an induction hub is disclosed for use in powering components in a vehicle. The induction hub includes a source coil; first and second receiver coils having first and second conductive portions, respectively; and at least one isolation member that is positioned between the first and second conductive portions. The receiver coils are separated from the source coil such that, upon being energized by a power source, the source coil creates an induced electromagnetic field (EMF) and an electrical current in the receiver coils, which are in electrical communication with at least one component in the vehicle to thereby deliver power from the receiver coils to the at least one component. The at least one isolation member includes a material that is electrically nonconductive and electromagnetically permeable so as to physically and electrically separate the receiver coils without impacting the induced EMF.
