Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of deploying a secondary cluster of one or more service machines to a public secondary cloud to provide a service to supplement a primary cluster of service machines that provide the service in a primary cloud. The method receives a set of one or more user-defined criteria to use to deploy the secondary cluster in the public secondary cloud. After receiving the set of user-defined criteria, the method detects that the secondary cluster is needed to supplement the primary cluster. The method retrieves previously collected data about different public clouds that are candidates for the deployment of the secondary cluster. Based on the set of user-defined criteria, the method analyzes the previously collected data to select for the deployment a particular candidate public cloud as the public secondary cloud. Then, the method deploys the secondary cluster in the selected particular public cloud.

Abstract: System and method for creating and managing trusted execution environments (TEEs) using different underlying hardware TEE mechanisms use a virtual secure enclave device which runs in a virtualized environment in a computer system. The device enables an enclave command transmitted to the virtual secure enclave device to be retrieved and parsed to extract an enclave operation to be executed. A TEE backend module is used to interact with a particular hardware TEE mechanism among those available in the computer system. The module ensures the enclave operation for the software process is executed by the particular hardware TEE mechanism, or the TEE scheme based on a particular hardware TEE mechanism.

Abstract: An administrator agent and local worker agents are provided in nodes of a distributed system to support dynamic tracing of runtime data. Trace profiles are associated with the nodes on which the local worker agents reside. Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for evaluating incidents within a network. The method receives notification of a first incident related to a first network entity and a second incident related to a second network entity. In response to the respective notifications of the first and second incidents, the method uses network monitoring data to generate a first component graph of a first portion of the network that includes the first network entity and a second component graph of a second portion of the network that includes the second network entity. The first and second component graphs respectively include first and second sets of network entities related to the first and second network entities according to the network monitoring data. The method uses the first and second component graphs to respectively identify root causes of the first and second incidents.
