Abstract: A polymeric stent includes a polymeric tubular body extending from a distal region to a proximal region, the polymeric tubular body adapted to have a negative Poisson's ratio. A distal engagement feature is formed within the distal region and a proximal engagement feature is formed within the proximal region. A delivery device for the polymeric stent includes a tubular body having an outer surface adapted to accommodate the polymeric stent thereover. A distal stent engagement member is secured relative to the tubular body and is adapted to releasably engage the distal engagement feature. A proximal stent engagement member is secured relative to the tubular body and is adapted to releasably engage the proximal engagement feature. The tubular body is adapted to affect a change in a distance between the distal stent engagement member and the proximal stent engagement member, thereby changing a length of the polymeric stent.

Abstract: A system for maintaining patency of a body lumen may include a first endoprosthesis configured to shift from a straightened configuration to a helical configuration defining a plurality of loops, and a second endoprosthesis configured to shift from a radially collapsed configuration toward a radially expanded configuration. The plurality of loops defines a passage having an inner diameter. At least a portion of the second endoprosthesis is disposed within the passage in the radially expanded configuration. A method of maintaining patency of a body lumen may include advancing a first endoprosthesis into a first body lumen in a straightened configuration, deploying the first endoprosthesis within the first body lumen in a helical configuration defining a plurality of loops, advancing a second endoprosthesis into the first body lumen in a radially collapsed configuration, and shifting the second endoprosthesis to a radially expanded configuration within the plurality of loops.

Abstract: A stent may include a radially expandable tubular framework includes a first end region, a second end region, a medial region positioned between the first end region and the second end region, and a lumen extending therethrough. The radially expandable tubular framework is configured to expand from a radially collapsed configuration to a radially expanded configuration. A plurality of covering strips are positioned along at least one of the first end region, the medial region, and the second end region. The plurality of covering strips fully covering the radially expandable tubular framework in the radially collapsed configuration, and the plurality of covering strips are configured to separate from one another in the radially expanded configuration to expose portions of the radially expandable tubular framework therebetween.

Abstract: An illustrative endoluminal implant having an elongated tubular member. The elongated tubular member having a stent and a retrieval suture interwoven with the stent. The retrieval suture including a first suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and adjacent to a suture retrieval loop and a second suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and longitudinally spaced from the first suture loop. The first and second suture loops coupled via one or more interconnecting segments. At least one of the first or second suture loops has an arc length of less than 270° of the circumference of the stent.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to stents, systems, and methods for anchoring devices within a body lumen by cooperation between the device and the body musculature. A device comprising an elongate tubular member may be deployed within a body lumen, where the body lumen includes a sphincter that regulates flow through the body lumen. The elongate tubular member includes a sleeve formed from a flexible membrane and one or more stents disposed at either or both ends of the sleeve. In some embodiments, the stents may be treatment stents configured to treat a portion of the body lumen. The elongate tubular member may be deployed within the body lumen such that the flexible membrane aligns with and moves in coordination with the sphincter, thereby increasing retention forces acting upon the elongate tubular member when the sphincter is closed to minimize treatment stent migration.
