摘要: The present invention provides a transreflective type liquid crystal display unit, which can reduce power consumption of backlight and displays high-quality image. The liquid crystal display unit of the present invention comprises a first reflective electrode 105, which is installed on inner surface of one substrate 100 and has reflective surfaces on front and rear surfaces and is designed to have reflective lens structure with a convex portion to face to a counter electrode and has an opening 153 at the vertex of said convex portion. Further, the liquid crystal display unit has a second reflective film 104 having reflective surface on the surface facing to the first reflective electrode 105 between the first reflective electrode 105 and said one substrate 100 and under the opening 153 of the first reflective electrode 105. A light entering from the direction of said one substrate 100 is reflected by the rear surface of the first reflective electrode 105 and by the front surface of the second reflective film 104, and the light is converged to the opening 153 of the first reflective electrode 105 and is allowed to pass toward the other substrate 200.

摘要: The screen-input image display device has a touch panel for outputting touched locations of a finger or the like in contact with a display panel screen; and a sensing circuit for sensing coordinates of the touched locations based on the output of the touch panel. The touch panel has a transparent conductor film which is single layer on a transparent substrate, the transparent conductor film being patterned into numerous electrode pads arranged in rows and columns of a two-dimensional matrix, and surface areas of the electrode pads vary depending on the location of the touch areas. Coordinates of the touch locations are sensed based on the proportion of charge signals of the touch locations due to differences in surface areas of the electrode pads.

摘要: Only a region where TFTs constituting a high-performance circuit will be disposed in a precursor semiconductor film PCS on an insulating substrate GLS with an insulating layer UCL serving as an undercoat is irradiated with a first energy beam LSR so as to be poly-crystallized while growing crystal grains laterally. Concurrently, the precursor semiconductor layer in the other region is poly-crystallized by the second rapid thermal treatment so as to obtain a low-quality polycrystalline semiconductor thin film serving as pixel circuit TFTs and having a low on-current and properties of a low leak current and a high withstand voltage due to its high resistance. Accordingly, it is possible to form polycrystalline semiconductor TFTs high in driving performance and TFTs having properties of a low leak current and a high withstand voltage concurrently on one and the same insulating substrate.
