An exemplary method comprises receiving a command that comprises information derived from a private key in response to a request to generate the command for an electronic device. The exemplary method also comprises verifying a source of the command using the information derived from the private key and a corresponding public key stored in an immutable memory of the electronic device. The exemplary method additionally comprises performing a management operation corresponding to the command if the verifying of the source of the command determines that the command is from an authorized source.

    摘要: A method is provided for controlling engine stop position in a vehicle having an engine with auto stop/auto start functionality. The method includes automatically ramping down engine speed upon initiation of an auto stop event, executing closed-loop speed control of the engine when the engine speed begins to ramp down, and for as long as the engine speed remains above a threshold engine speed while ramping down the engine speed; executing closed-loop position control of the engine while ramping down the engine speed once the engine speed is less than the threshold engine speed and greater than zero; and stopping the crankshaft to within a calibrated range of a targeted engine stop position. A controller is also provided that includes a hardware module and an algorithm adapted for executing the foregoing method, and a vehicle is provided having an engine with auto stop/start functionality and the controller noted above.

    摘要: A hybrid powertrain includes and internal combustion engine, an energy storage device, an electro-mechanical transmission having at least one electric machine rotatably coupled to the engine. The electro-mechanical transmission is selectively controllably operative to transmit torque among the engine and the at least one electric machine. A method to start operation of the internal combustion engine includes initiating rotation of a crankshaft of the engine with the at least one electric machine until a first predetermined crankshaft speed is achieved, firing the engine while controlling engine speed with the at least one electric machine until a flare threshold occurs, controlling the engine speed without any interaction from the at least one electric machine based on controlling combustion parameters of the engine, and when a predetermined condition occurs, controlling the engine speed with the at least one electric machine while the engine is still firing.

In a method for generating a radio-frequency field using such a body coil assembly, the transmitting powers of the first coil and the second coil are controlled, to provide unequal transmitting powers to the first coil and the second coil when needed to generate a required radio-frequency field distribution, so as to form a stronger field strength at a certain position, thus improving the signal to noise ratio at that position during the receiving process.

    摘要: A control system for an engine having a catalytic converter includes an energy calculation module that calculates a calculated mass air flow (MAF) of intake air of the engine based on a requested torque and a requested spark timing that correspond to a desired thermal energy of exhaust of the engine, and that determines an expected thermal energy of the exhaust based on the calculated MAF, and an energy residual module that determines a thermal energy residual of the exhaust based on the expected thermal energy and an estimated thermal energy of the exhaust, wherein the estimated thermal energy is based on a measured MAF of the intake air. The control system includes an energy evaluation module that determines a diagnostic result that indicates whether the catalytic converter is operating within a target temperature range based on the thermal energy residual. Related control methods are also provided.
