An injection molding method and apparatus in which an injection molding metal mold having a valve gate 7 mechanically opening and closing a gate facing an injection molding cavity is used, and the timing of closing the valve gate is set with reference to a melted resin pressure in the injection molding cavity during a holding pressure step in a molding process. The molding method and apparatus result in high accuracy molded products by utilizing a valve gate system in the injection molding of thin products, and also result in molded products having less variations among cavities even in the case where a plurality of products are molded at the same time.

In a microwave plasma generating method and apparatus according to the present invention, a slow wave structure is disposed in the propagation region of microwaves, and the microwaves are introduced at a delayed phase velocity into a discharge chamber so that treating gases are transformed into plasma. Thus, the phase velocity of the microwaves is adjusted to a relatively low velocity, at which charged particles are distributed most densely in the plasma, so that the energy may be efficiently transformed to many more charged particles in the plasma. Thus, the plasma of high density is generated to improve a plasma treating rate.

This invention relates to a microwave plasma processing method and apparatus.An electromagnetic field intensity distribution of a microwave, which is incident into a plasma generation chamber and is again incident due to irregular reflection, is made uniform by uniforming means fixed inside a waveguide, a processing gas is converted to plasma by use of the microwave having the uniformed electromagnetic field intensity distribution, and a sample is plasma-processed by the resulting plasma. Accordingly, the electro-magnetic field of the microwave, which is incident, and is again incident, into the plasma generation region and locally increases a plasma density, is absorbed, attenuated or diffused by the uniforming means so that the distribution of the plasma density is made uniform and uniform processing can be effected.

In a container for a photographic film cartridge having a body and a cap made of a high-pressure branched low-density polyethylene resin and fitted to said body, the improvement comprising that said polyethylene resin has a melt index of 7 to 40 g/10 minutes and a density of 0.918 to 0.930 g/cm.sup.3 and contains 0.05 to 1 wt. % of a fatty acid amide lubricant and that the bending rigidity of said cap is 1200 to 4000 kg/cm.sup.2.This resin for the cap is superior in fluidity, and molding troubles and coloring troubles at molding remarkably decrease. The molding cycle is also shortened. This cap is superior in fitness to the container body, and moisture sealing is improved.

In a floppy disc drive unit, the rotational speed of a floppy, a write current fed to a write head, electric characteristic of a signal processing circuit in a read circuit are all controlled so as to set them to values suitable for selected mode corresponding to magnetic recording data density. A switching signal is either manually produced or fed from an external circuit so as to effect switching between normal density mode and high density mode. The floppy disc drive unit according to the present invention is therefore capable of handling floppy discs of different density values.

A multiple-color, offset rotary press is disclosed wherein each plate cylinder carries two printing plates, with one of them wrapped around a larger diameter portion of the plate cylinder and the other around a tube slidably fitted over a smaller diameter portion of the cylinder. A shaft secured to the tube and extending coaxially from one end of the plate cylinder, and an axle extending coaxially from the other cylinder end, are mounted on frame means for independent rotary and axial motion. A pair of driven helical gears are mounted respectively on the shaft and the axle for simultaneous rotation therewith but for axial motion relative to same and are meshed respectively with a pair of driving helical gears fixedly mounted on the opposite axles of a corresponding blanket cylinder. The positions of the printing plates are separately adjusted in the circumferential direction by causing axial motion of the driven helical gears, and in the axial direction by causing axial motion of the shaft and the axle.

The method for producing a surface-treated metallic material includes immersing an anode and a cathode in an electrolyte solution, placing a metallic material used as a material to be treated above the surface of the electrolyte solution, and applying a voltage between the anode and the cathode to treat the metallic material surface, the voltage being equal to or higher than a voltage for causing a complete plasma state.
