    摘要: A projector has an image generating device for generating an image, and a housing, having the image generating device disposed therein and having an opening defined therein for emitting therethrough projection light representing the image from the image generating device. A projection mirror is mounted on an outer surface of the housing for reflecting the projection light to project the image onto a projection surface. An optical system is disposed in the opening for applying the projection light to the projection mirror. The projector also has a foreign matter detector for detecting foreign matter which enters a light path of the projection light between the optical system and the projection mirror.

    摘要: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention include a light source unit in which lowering of an illumination intensity of an emitted luminous flux is reduced or prevented. A light source lamp unit includes a light source lamp having a light emitting section in which discharging emission is performed between electrodes, an elliptic reflector to emit a luminous flux radiated from the light source lamp in a certain uniform direction, and a secondary reflecting mirror provided on the opposite side of the light source lamp opposite from the elliptic reflector. A center of light emission C2 between the electrodes does not match a first focal point F1 of the elliptic reflector, a center of the source of reflected light C1 of the secondary reflecting mirror does not match the first focal point F1 of the elliptic reflector. The center of light emission C2, the first focal point F1, and the center of the source of reflected light C1 are disposed on a straight line perpendicular to a straight line connecting the first focal point F1 and a second focal point F2 of the elliptic reflector.

    摘要: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for protecting data on a storage medium by encrypting the data to be recorded on the storage medium with a password. This method comprises a step of, generating, for changing key data on each memory unit by one password, the key data, thereafter encrypting the key data with the password and writing the encrypted data to the storage medium, and a step of encrypting the data with the key data and encrypted data to the storage medium. The method further comprises a step of reading the encrypted key data from the storage medium, a step of decoding the encrypted key data with the password, and a step of decoding the data on the storage medium with the decoded key data. The encryption is done by using the key data generated separately from the password, and it is therefore feasible to prevent the password from being analyzed by decoding a cipher text.

    摘要: To reduce or prevent adhesive particles from being scattered toward a light-emitting portion of an arc tube and an auxiliary reflecting surface of an auxiliary mirror even when an inorganic adhesive injected for fixing the auxiliary mirror to the arc tube is boiled, a method of manufacturing a light source lamp includes: setting a light-reflecting surface of the auxiliary mirror so as to face the light-emitting portion of the arc tube and injecting an adhesive into a gap between the auxiliary mirror and the arc tube; heating and curing the adhesive from a side nearer to the light-emitting portion of the arc tube; and attaching the reflector to the arc tube with the auxiliary mirror fixed thereto. For example, a heated air blowoff and light irradiation toward the adhesive form the side nearer to the light-emitting portion of the arc tube may be performed. Further, a projector includes: an illumination system with the light source lamp; an optical modulator; and a projector lens.

    摘要: A lamp device and a projector having the lamp device eliminated of light leaking in a direction opposite to a reflecting direction at a rear end of an encapsulation fixing an arc tube on a reflection mirror is simply and inexpensively provided. An arc tube and a reflection mirror are provided. The arc tube has encapsulations one of which is inserted in a cylinder of the reflection mirror thereby securing the encapsulation and the cylinder together by an adhesive. The bulb of the arc tube and the other encapsulation are positioned on a side close to a reflection surface of the reflection mirror. The encapsulation inserted in the cylinder and positioned on a side opposite to the reflection surface has an end at least at an end face of which is covered with the adhesive thereby providing light shield.

    摘要: A pedestrian protecting device includes an airbag housed below a cowl louver made of a synthetic resin, such that it is folded in an elongated shape along the cowl louver. The airbag can be expanded to protrude upward by an inflating gas discharged from an inflator, to protect a pedestrian. The cowl louver includes a door portion covering the airbag when folded and housed, and curved to protrude to the front at the respective centers of its front and rear edges. This door portion can be opened to the front or to the rear by the expanding airbag. The door portion is formed integrally with the cowl louver and includes expansion promoting means so that it can be smoothly opened.
