Abstract: The present invention provides methods for the preparation of protein hydrolysate, peptide solution and peptide from BSG. The wet BSG or BSG powder is dispersed in extract solution to prepare the crude BSG protein or the crude BSG protein solution. Preparing the crude BSG protein solution using the crude BSG protein and adjusting the pH to 6.5˜8.5, or adjusting the pH of the crude BSG protein solution to 6.5˜8.5. Then the solution is hydrolyzed with protease at 45° C. to 65° C. for 1 h to 5 h in a water bath shaker to prepare BSG protein hydrolysate. The protein hydrolysate is heated to inactivate the protease and centrifuged to obtain the peptide solution. The peptide solution is separated by gel filtration and each peak is collected and pooled together to obtain the peptide. The protein hydrolysate, peptide solution and peptide in the present invention are all prepared from BSG which is a natural product and available at low cost throughout the year. There is no harmful material used in the production process. The results of in vitro experiment suggest that BSG peptide prepared by this method shows a significantly hypoglycemic effect.

Abstract: A signal processing system for demodulating navigation bits from a satellite signal is disclosed herein. The signal processing system includes a digital baseband processor for determining a boundary between two navigation bits in the navigation bits according to a first plurality of coarse acquisition (C/A) codes captured from the satellite signals, storing the first plurality of C/A codes, and demodulating a second plurality of C/A codes captured after determining the boundary to recover a first series of the navigation bits. The signal processing system further includes a complementary demodulating unit coupled to the digital baseband processor for demodulating the first plurality of C/A codes to recover a second series of the navigation bits.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments relating to a process for reducing the total acid number of a hydrocarbon feed by contacting the feed with a metal titanate catalyst having an MTiO3 structure wherein M is a metal having a valence of 2+, resulting in a hydrocarbon product having a final total acid number lower than the initial total acid number of the feed. The process is useful for pretreating high acid crudes prior to further processing thus avoiding corrosion of equipment used in refining operations. The process can be integrated into conventional refining operations in order to treat various refinery streams. In one embodiment, a process is provided for refining a low acid crude oil and a high acid crude oil by separately introducing a relatively low acid crude oil feed and a relatively high acid crude oil feed to an atmospheric distillation column, wherein the relatively high acid crude oil feed is contacted with a metal titanate catalyst prior to introduction to the atmospheric distillation column.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for controlling user's participation into a session so that the system can control accession to a PoC session requested by anonymous users and restrict an expelled user from joining the session again. Under the present invention, a client in the PoC session sends a request of expelling a user to the control server, with the SSRC identifier or nickname of the user or an anonymous user wildcard carried in the request; according to the received SSRC identifier, nickname or anonymous user wildcard, the control server searches for the corresponding PoC address, and expels the user out of the session as required according to the PoC address. Therefore, the client with the expulsion right can control accession to the PoC session requested by other users, especially anonymous users, thus keeping order of the session. The control server automatically rejects the reattempt of the expelled user according to the rejection list and the rejection policy, thus preventing such users from harassing the PoC session maliciously, and improving the service experience of the user.

Abstract: A fingerprint imaging system configured to capture an image of a friction ridge pattern of a subject (e.g., a fingerprint, a palm print, a hand print, a footprint, etc.). The system may include one or more components that reduce the impact of ambient light on the performance of the system. In some implementations, the system may reduce the impact of ambient light without requiring additional power (e.g., to generate an increased amount of radiation) and without including “external” hoods and/or covers designed to block ambient light prior to the ambient light entering system. Instead, the system may reduce the impact of ambient light on performance by blocking ambient light internally within the system along an optical path of radiation used to electronically capture an image of the friction ridge pattern.

Abstract: In accordance with the invention, a light emitting diode package assembly is provided to emulate the pattern of light produced by an incandescent filament bulb. The package assembly is composed of a substrate for LEDs comprising a heat-sinking base having a pair of opposing major surfaces. Each major surface has an overlying of thermally conducting ceramic and an outer surface layer of light reflective material. Disposed on each surface layer is a plurality of LEDs. Advantageously, the LEDs are arranged on the surface in a configuration of low mutual obstruction. Advantageously, reflecting elements transverse to each surface layer are positioned and shaped to reflect a substantial portion of the light emitted from the LEDs that would otherwise enter neighboring LEDs. In a preferred embodiment, the LEDs are arranged in the general form of a closed curve, and a transverse reflector is disposed in the interior of the curve. Alternatively, the LEDs can be arranged in a linear array. The assembly can be efficiently fabricated by back-to-back assembly of two similar subassemblies.
