Abstract:
System and techniques for memory management are described herein. A request for an adjusted process-value for a process may be received. Here, the adjusted process-value may be used to compare resident processes to determine which resident process will be terminated in certain circumstances. In response to the request for the adjusted process-value, a launch-time weight for the process may be obtained. The launch-time weight may be combined with a process-value to create an adjusted process-value. The adjusted process-value may then be returned to the requestor.
Abstract:
The present invention is generally directed to diester-based lubricant compositions comprising one or more isomeric mixtures of diester species. The present invention is also directed to methods of making these and other similar lubricant compositions. In some embodiments, the methods for making such diester-based lubricants utilize a biomass precursor material from which mono-unsaturated free lipid species can be provided or otherwise generated, wherein such mono-unsaturated free lipid species are converted to isomeric diol species en route to the synthesis of diester species for use as/in the diester-based lubricant compositions.
Abstract:
A connector for ribbon optical fiber comprises a plug (1) and a socket (2). The plug (1) movably connects with the socket (2) through buttons (106) which are set on the both sides of the front end of the plug, and an alignment core (12) which allows a ribbon optical fiber movably aligning in the inside movement is also set on the front end of the plug (1). In the connector for ribbon optical fiber of present invention, the plug (1) movably connects with the socket (2) through buttons (106), therefore repeated plugging and pulling can be achieved, and the optical fiber movably aligns inside the alignment core with the advantages of simple structure and good effect of alignment.
Abstract:
The present invention is generally directed to diester-based base oils and base oil blends with improved cold flow properties and improved Noack. The diesters employed have a number a performance benefits in lubricant applications—among them: biodegradability, extreme temperature performance, oxidative stability, solubility for additives and deposit and sludge precursors, flash and fire points. However, ester usage in lubricants has been quite limited due to their high cost. We utilize new proprietary diesters, structurally different from traditional diesters, which are made from fatty acids and alpha olefins in simple processing steps, yet feature performance similar to more traditional lubricant esters.
Abstract:
A lathe includes a machine support, a work table, two cross beams and a feeding device. The work table is positioned on the machine support. The two cross beams are mounted on the machine support above the work table. The feeding device includes a cutter. The feeding device is slidably assembled between the two cross beams to obtain support from opposite sides of the two cross beams.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a security configuration verification device for performing a security configuration verification on a network device, which comprises: one or more preconfigured scanning policies; a scanning policy generator, which selects a scanning policy from the one or more preconfigured scanning policies to generate a new scanning policy corresponding to the network device; and a scanner, which performs the security scanning on the network device with the generated new scanning policy and thereby performs the security configuration verification. The invention also discloses a corresponding security configuration verification method and a network system employing the verification device.
Abstract:
The present invention is generally directed to diester-based lubricant compositions comprising one or more isomeric mixtures of diester species wherein the kinematic viscosity of the composition at temperature of 100 C is at least 3 mm2/s The present invention is also directed to methods of making these and other similar lubricant compositions.
Abstract:
A process useful for treating biologically derived oils in the production of biofuels is described. A biologically derived oil feed is deoxygenated by contacting the feed with a metal titanate catalyst comprising a metal titanate having an MTiO3 perovskite structure wherein M is a metal having a valence of 2+. The process does not require the addition of hydrogen.
Abstract:
A chemical reactor, comprising: a) an ionic liquid, supported on a porous solid; and b) a Brønsted acid; wherein the ionic liquid serves as an adsorbent and promoter for the Brønsted acid, and the Brønsted acid is a catalyst for alkylation, oligomerization, or a combination thereof of a hydrocarbon mixture comprising at least one alkylatable hydrocarbon and at least one alkylating agent in the chemical reactor. Also, a chemical reactor, comprising: a) a gaseous HCl, which is a catalyst for oligomerization of olefins; b) a chloroaluminate ionic liquid, supported on a porous solid, wherein the chloroaluminate ionic liquid serves as an adsorbent and promoter for the catalyst; and c) a volatile hydrocarbon, which evaporates to control a heat of reaction in the chemical reactor.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for data transmission. The method for data transmission includes: sending, according to a mapping relationship between a first H-RNTI of a user equipment and a second H-RNTI of a relay node accessed by the user equipment, data to the user equipment corresponding to the first H-RNTI by using the relay node corresponding to the second H-RNTI. By using the technical solutions of the embodiments, the coverage capability of a cell edge is enhanced, and the efficiency in transmitting data to a UE at the cell edge is further improved.
