摘要： A mobile communication system including a plurality of base stations arranged in a communication area, each emitting a radio wave inherent thereto and a mobile station moving in the communication area and communicating with respective base stations via the transmitted radio waves. There is previously stored a location correlation data group including correlation data representing correlation situations of a plurality of arriving radio waves produced by the transmitted radio waves at respective ones of a plurality of sampling locations within the communication area, the location correlation data corresponding to respective locations. Upon reception of radio waves at a current location of the mobile station, current correlation data is calculated representing correlation situations among received arriving radio waves for the respective mobile station. The location correlation data in the location correlation data group is compared with the current correlation data, and the current position of the mobile stations is determined in accordance with a result of the comparison, generating the determined current position data.

摘要： A process for producing semiconductor chips having a protective film on the back surface includes the steps of: providing a sheet to form the protective film having a release sheet and a protective film-forming layer formed on a detachable surface of the release sheet, wherein the protective film-forming layer includes a thermosetting component, an energy ray-curable component and a binder polymer component; adhering a protective film-forming layer of the sheet to form the protective film onto a back surface of a semiconductor wafer having circuits on its surface; curing the protective film-forming layer by irradiation with an energy ray, and thereafter, further conducting the additional steps of (in any order): detaching the release sheet from the protective film-forming layer; further curing the protective film-forming layer by heating; and dicing the semiconductor wafer together with the protective film-forming layer with respect to each circuit.

The sheet to form a protective film for chips of the present invention comprises a release sheet and a protective film forming layer formed on a detachable surface of the release sheet, wherein said protective film forming layer comprises a thermosetting or energy ray-curable component and a binder polymer component.

摘要： A mobile communication apparatus and method which extract surrounding base stations within a certain defined area centered at a present location of a mobile unit, carry out an arithmetic operation for obtaining a specified weighting coefficient with respect to each of the extracted surrounding base stations on the basis of a direction of each of the extracted surrounding base stations from the present location of the mobile unit and a traveling direction of the mobile unit carry out a further arithmetic operation for weighting a value of the electric field strength of a signal recieved from each of the surrounding base stations with the weighting coefficient of a corresponding surrounding base station to provide a weighted electric field strength of each of the extracted surrounding base station, and select the one base station from the extracted surrounding base stations depending on a value of the weighted electric field strength.

摘要： A code error correcting circuit interleaves original data comprising a sequence of bit data having a length of p bits by arranging the bit data of the original data into a hypothetical matrix of I rows and J columns and then selecting the bit data positioned on the ith row along an order of the jth column. The circuit is provided with a memory unit having a plurality of memory areas each having a length of 2n bits; and a controller for storing the original data to be interleaved into the memory areas respectively. The bit data, which are indicated by a bit select data, stored in the memory unit are sequentially outputted along an order of the ith row and the jth column in the hypothetical matrix as the interleaved original data.

摘要： A head actuator for a magnetic disk drive unit which eliminates the possibility of track slip due to a mechanical external force and allows high-speed access. The head actuator includes a carriage having a body provided rotatably to a shaft fixed to a housing and an arm fixed to the body so as to extend substantially perpendicularly to the shaft, a supporting member mounted on the body on its side opposite to the arm with respect to the shaft, and a coil fixed to the supporting member and receiving a driving force from a static magnetic field. The supporting member is formed of a material having a specific gravity larger than that of a material forming the body of the carriage.

摘要： A breather filter unit for a magnetic disk drive including a base and a cover fixed to the base, the cover having a vent. The breather filter unit includes a casing fixed to an inner surface of the cover, the casing having a vent inlet communicating with the vent of the cover and a vent outlet communicating with an inside of the magnetic disk drive, and a first filter contained in the casing at a position adjacent to the vent inlet, the first filter being formed from a plurality of fibers extending in a direction substantially parallel to that of an air flow from the vent inlet to the vent outlet. The breather filter unit further includes a second filter bonded to the casing so as to cover the vent outlet, and an activated carbon layer contained in the casing at a position between the first filter and the second filter.
