An embodiment of the present invention provides a terminal including a PDCP layer which relays a D2D-dedicated IP packet from an upper layer to a lower layer, an RLC layer which processes the received packet in adaptation to the radio channel condition and transfers the processed data to a MAC layer, and a MAC layer which selects, when D2D packet data come into being, resources for D2D link without requesting scheduling from the eNB and multiplexes the data received through D2D-dedicated logical channels, and an operation method of the terminal. Particularly, an embodiment of the present invention provides a novel MAC operation method of a terminal supporting D2D communication.

Provided are a discovery method and apparatus. A communication method for a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB); receiving a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; checking whether the contents of the first message match the UE; and sending, when the contents of the first message match the UE, a second message associated with the first message to the second UE via the second resource region. A user equipment (UE) may include: a communication unit configured to receive first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB), and receive a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; and a control unit configured to check whether the contents of the first message match the UE.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for a wireless communication. The communication method by a user equipment, according to an embodiment of the present invention, may include: receiving information on a second communication network base station from a first communication network base station through a first communication unit; and scanning the second communication network base station by using the information on the second communication network base station. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a user equipment can efficiently scan a wireless LAN base station and other heterogeneous network base stations.

A method for configuring a time division duplex (TDD) of a user equipment in a communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving from a base station a first TDD configuration; receiving from the base station a message including information related to a dynamic TDD configuration; receiving a second TDD configuration according to the received information related to the dynamic TDD configuration; receiving from the base station an uplink grant; and determining whether to apply the first TDD configuration or the second TDD configuration based on a method by which the unlink grant is received. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the advantages of configuring a shorter cycle of the TDD to the user equipment supporting the TDD in a wireless communication system, and rapidly configuring the TDD to the user equipment variably according to a communication situation are provided.

A neighbor cell search method and apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) is provided for performing the cell search procedure with the utilization of a Physical Cell Identity (PCI) list of PCIs used by evolved Node Bs (eNBs) for a Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) which is from an eNB in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system. The cell search method includes selecting a cell of a base station, receiving system information including a Physical Cell Identity (PCI) list used by neighbor Closed Subscribed Group (CSG) cells of the base station, determining whether the terminal is in an any cell selection state for selecting any cell, and searching, when the terminal is in the any cell selection state, neighbor cells without application of the PCI list. The cell search method and apparatus are capable of performing the cell search procedure to appropriate eNBs, resulting in improvement of network attachment efficiency.

A user equipment (UE) is configured to perform a method for determining a timing reference for a secondary cell (SCell) in a secondary timing advance group (sTAG). The method includes selecting a SCell among a plurality of SCells within a sTAG as an uplink timing reference cell based on a predefined rule that is known at the UE and an eNB in communication with the UE. The method also includes receiving a downlink carrier from the selected SCell and determining, from the downlink carrier, a downlink timing used as a reference for an uplink transmission timing.

A method of a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a set of configurations and determining, based on the set of configurations, a sidelink (SL) bandwidth part (BWP), a resource pool in the SL BWP, a number of RB sets in the SL BWP, and a slot for a transmission of a S-SSB. The number of RB sets include one anchor RB set and one or more non-anchor RB sets. The method further includes attempting to transmit the S-SSB in the slot and at least in the anchor RB set, wherein a channel access procedure is performed on a channel that includes the anchor RB set; and attempting to transmit the S-SSB in the slot and in the one or more non-anchor RB sets only when the channel access procedure fails.

A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver configured to receive a message including a layer 1/layer 2 (L1/L2)-triggered mobility (LTM) configuration. The LTM configuration includes a plurality of LTM candidate cells. The UE further includes a processor operably coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured to determine that a T304 timer or a T310 timer has expired, and based on the determination that the T304 timer or the T310 timer has expired, initiate a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure and start an RRC reestablishment (T311) timer. The processor is further configured to, while the T311 timer is running, select a cell, determine whether the LTM configuration includes an indication to perform LTM cell switch to the selected cell, and determine whether the selected cell is one of the plurality of LTM candidate cells in the LTM configuration.
