摘要: A bioactive cement comprises a filler consisting of nonalkali glass powder containing Ca, monomer containing hydrophilic dimethacrylate, a polymerization starter, and a polymerization promotor. The nonalkali glass powder containing Ca comprises a composition by weight of 40-50% CaO, 30-40% SiO.sub.2, 10-20% P.sub.2 O.sub.5, 0-10% MgO, and 0-2% CaF.sub.2. The hydrophilic dimethacrylate is 2,2-bis[4-(3-methacryloxy-2-hydroxy propoxy)phenyl]propane. The bioactive cement is capable of forming a hydroxyapatite layer on a surface of a hardened cement body when the hardened cement body is brought into contact with body fluid.

摘要: In a method for executing a program for sequentially reading step information registered in an execution queue in the order of registration in order to permit the modification of a branch-to address with ease and without error when the modification of the branch-to address is instructed during the debugging of the program, the step information which is no longer the branch-to address due to the modification is searched in response to the branch-to address modification instruction, the retrieved step information is erased from the execution queue, and step information which is a new branch-to address is registered at the position of the erased step.

摘要: An apparatus and method for defoaming aerobic fermentation cultures is provided, where the amount of liquid culture medium used is greater than that in conventional aerobic cultures (70% or more of the total capacity of the culture tank) without lowering the productivity of the intended, desired product. In the present apparatus and method, a device for separating vapor from liquid of a foam is in fluid communication with the fermentation tank, a device for condensing residual liquid of the vapor received from the separating device is in fluid communication with the separating device, and a sensor for detecting foams is provided in a location along the fluid communication pathway. In the defoaming apparatus, an optional defoaming device is provided, which may be based on either a rotary body rotating at a high speed by use of an electric motor which beats the foams, or on a centrifugal atomizer. The defoaming device may be provided between the vapor-liquid separating device and the condensing device.

摘要: A light-sensitive material treating apparatus which is small in size and produces a reduced quantity of waste fluid. A current conduction process is applied to a developing solution using an auxiliary tank communicated with a developing tank and to which a supplementary solution is supplied. The developing solution contains a developing agent which is oxidized to an oxidation state by reaction with silver halide and reduced to a reduction state by electronation. The auxiliary tank is separated into two chambers by a cation-exchange membrane, and a cathode and an anode are provided in respective ones of the chambers arranged opposite to each other with respect to the cation-exchange membrane. A current is applied between the two electrodes. The current conduction time is controlled on the basis of current conduction efficiency corresponding to the time of use.

摘要: A swash-plate, plunger-type hydraulic pressure apparatus, which may operate as a hydraulic pump or motor, includes a cylinder block, an annular array of plungers slidably held in the cylinder block, a swash plate, a plurality of shoes angularly movably coupled respectively to the ends of the plungers, and a retainer plate mounted adjacent the swash plate and holding the shoes in slidable contact with the sliding surface. The shoes have respective annular grooves defined in the outer cylindrical surfaces thereof. The retainer plate has a plurality of shoe holding holes defined therein and a like plurality of cutout openings extending from the holes. The shoe holding holes communicate with one of outer and inner circumferential edges of the retainer plate through the cutout openings, respectively. The cutout openings have a width slightly larger than the outside diameter of the annular grooves, whereby the annular grooves can be inserted into the shoe holding holes, respectively, through the cutout openings.
