In a cellular phone, a controller stores content data received from a distribution server into a memory. When the content data is to be transmitted to a memory card, a random number key generator generates a license key, and an encryption processing unit encrypts the content data using the license key. The controller transmits encrypted content data to a memory card via a memory card interface. Then, the controller deletes the content data stored in the memory. As a result, distribution of content data that must be deleted when transferring to another apparatus can be facilitated while protecting the copyright.

On the basis of this reduction ratio, the stereoscopic image is displayed and letters of “warning” are displayed. A user selects whether to display the stereoscopic image according to a producer's intention or to maintain the size-reduced stereoscopic image. If an operation requiring for a display of the stereoscopic image as it is intended by the producer is performed, an original stereoscopic image is displayed.

In a gas diffusion layer for a gas diffusion electrode including at least a catalyst layer containing an electrode catalyst and a gas diffusion layer having electron conductivity and gas diffusibility, a second surface of the gas diffusion layer, which is positioned opposite to a first surface thereof to be in contact with the catalyst layer, is made rougher than the first surface. The first surface has a maximum height Ry1 of 10 to 50 determined by JIS B 0601 surface roughness measurement method, and the second surface has a maximum height Ry2 of 100 to 500 determined by JIS B 0601 surface roughness measurement method.

In a polymer electrolyte fuel cell of the present invention, at least one of electrodes comprises conductive carbon carrying a platinum group metal catalyst, conductive carbon carrying no catalyst metal and a hydrogen ion-conductive polymer electrolyte. The preferable amount of the conductive carbon carrying no catalyst metal is equivalent to 5 to 50 wt % of the conductive carbon carrying the catalyst metal. Incorporation of the conductive carbon carrying no catalyst metal to the catalyst layer enables reduction in potential concentration on part of electron conduction channels in an electrode, whereby an electrode for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having an excellent life characteristic can be provided.

By using a gas diffusion layer for a fuel cell comprising a fabric comprising a warp thread and a weft thread which are made of carbon fiber, wherein the distance X between adjacent intersections where the warp and weft threads cross each other and the thickness Y of the fabric satisfy the equation: 1.4≦X/Y≦3.5, the present invention reduces the surface asperities of the substrate and prevents a micro short-circuit resulting from the piercing of the polymer electrolyte membrane of the fuel cell by the carbon fibers of the fabric so as to improve the characteristics of the fuel cell. In order to further prevent the piercing of the polymer electrolyte membrane by the carbon fibers of the gas diffusion layer substrate, the rough surface of the carbon fabric is smoothed by: (1) applying a clamping pressure of 1 to 20 kgf/cm2 to the contact area between each electrode and each conductive separator plate of the fuel cell; or (2) heating the gas diffusion layer surface before the gas diffusion layer is disposed onto the polymer electrolyte membrane.

As such, by varying the degree of the water repellency of the cathode and the anode on the basis of a position, an excellent polymer electrolyte fuel cell having a high discharge characteristic or more specifically a high current-voltage characteristic in a high current density range.

In an SPC PBX, a frame bit is inserted at periodic intervals to each of time-slot sequences from output ports of a time switch to form primary rate frames and the frame bit is then removed from each primary rate frame, producing time-slot sequences which are multiplexed and framing bits are inserted to form an outgoing secondary rate frame for transmission. An incoming secondary rate frame is received and framing bits are removed therefrom and demultiplexed into incoming primary rate time-slot sequences. A frame bit is inserted to each of the incoming primary rate time-slot sequences and the frame bit is then removed before being supplied to input ports of the time switch. The frame bit insertion and removal allows the use of current design primary rate interfaces, so that secondary rate interfaces can be installed without altering the operating software of the switch.
