Abstract: A filter cartridge for use in the interior of a water tank of a household appliance, the wall of which separates a housing internal side from a housing external side. A filter inlet opening which in the operation of the filter cartridge is open in relation to the external environment of a filter housing. A device for water conduction comprises at least one filter chamber having at least one filter medium and terminates in a filter outlet opening for suctioning water from the filter cartridge in the interior of the filter housing, downstream of the filter inlet opening relative to the flow direction of the water during operation. A filter port has an annular filter sealing face for the connection of the filter cartridge in a water tank. The filter sealing face has a separately disposed filter-proximal guide structure for receiving a centering element for centering the filter cartridge.

Abstract: A filter housing assembly for fluid filtration which may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. The filter housing assembly has a top portion with an ingress port and egress port extending therefrom, and a protrusion extending from the filter housing longitudinally axial center. The ingress and egress port are formed in an hourglass shape. A filter key having a base with a groove for mating with said projection, at least one finger extending from said base, and an electronic circuit component housing attached thereto for receiving a printed circuit board, is connected to the filter housing top portion by mating said top portion protrusion with the filter key groove. Both of said ingress and egress port have at least one cavity for the passage of fluid therethrough, where each cavity is exposed in a direction facing away from the printed circuit board.

Abstract: A filter element has a filter bellows of filter medium laid into folds. The folds extend between oppositely positioned end edges of the filter bellows, respectively. The end edges form oppositely positioned end edge surfaces. The filter bellows is arranged in closed configuration about a longitudinal axis and encloses a hollow space. The filter bellows has opposed end faces sealed by an end disc. The filter bellows has a cut portion in at least one of the oppositely positioned end edge surfaces such that one or more regions of folds with shortened fold length are formed. A fold length of the folds with shortened fold length is substantially identical at an outer and inner circumference of the filter bellows. A filter system has a housing in which the filter element is arranged. One of the housing parts has a region corresponding to the cut portion of the filter bellows.

Abstract: A liquid filter in the form of a filter element or a filter cartridge provides torsion locking relative to a filter head when the housing of such filter is threaded onto a filter head. Many embodiments employ a filter that includes a nipple portion at a top end with the torsion lock detent provided outboard of the nipple portion or integrated into the nipple portion. Many embodiments employ a simplified shoulder transition region at the top end of a torsion locked filter element. Valve actuation and/or filter differentiation is used in some embodiments. Different torsion locking arrangements, deformable thread profiles and other liquid filter features are disclosed.

Abstract: A filter base for receiving a mating filter housing assembly having a base platform having fluid ingress and egress stanchions, and a wire harness assembly including a connector housing integral with or connected to the base platform for establishing an electrical connection between the filter base and the mating filter housing assembly. The wire harness assembly having conductors extending between first and second connectors, with one or more resilient contacts provided on the second connector. The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when curved contact sections of the one or more contacts engage a mating connection surface of the complementary mating filter housing assembly. The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact curved contact sections are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.
