摘要： A water filtration system is provided. Generally, the filtration system is usable with well water to remove contaminants such as metals, among many other components. The filtration system utilizes a granular filter medium, such as, for example, washed sand. The water filtration also includes a multi way backwash system that allows cleansing of the filter medium by passing backwash water in a first clockwise direction as well as an opposite counter clockwise direction. This rocks the filter medium back and forth by the backwash fluid flow, providing improved cleansing of the filter medium as well as better overall filter operation.

An automatic control unit includes one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions executable by the one or more processors to perform operations including determining a debris accumulation status for the sand filter based in part on flow measurements from the flowmeter, and determining a failure status of the valve based in part on flow measurements from the flowmeter.

The method includes providing a supply of a first solution, providing a supply of a second solution, and selectively supplying the first solution to a water processing system and the second solution to the water processing system. The method further includes controllably and selectively directing discharge water formed in the water processing system through a first multi-way valve to a waste outlet during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a first selected criteria, and to a second multi-way valve during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a second selected criteria. The method also includes controllably and selectively directing the discharge water through the second multi-way valve to a first storage container connected to the second multi-way valve during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a third selected criteria, and to a third multi-way valve during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a fourth selected criteria. In addition, the method includes controllably and selectively directing the discharge water through the third multi-way valve to a second storage container during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a fifth selected criteria, and the discharge water as a solution to the supply of first solution during a period in which the discharge water satisfies a sixth selected criteria.
