Abstract: A resin-coated seamless can of the present invention is a resin-coated seamless can formed of a resin-coated metal sheet 1 which is produced by coating a polyester resin layer 3 containing polyethylene terephthalate onto a surface of a metal substrate 2, wherein the density of a polyester resin layer of a can inner surface side is set to equal to or more than 1.36 at a can barrel upper portion. Further, an infrared dichroic ratio (R1) of the polyester resin layer at the inner surface side of the can barrel portion which is expressed by a following formula (1) is set to equal to or more than 1.1. R1nullIw(null)/Iw(null) . . . (1). In the formula (1), Iw(null) indicates an infrared absorption intensity of 973 cmnull1 with respect to polarized infrared rays perpendicular to the can height direction at the can barrel portion, and Iw(null) indicates an infrared absorption intensity of 973 cmnull1 with respect to polarized infrared rays parallel to the can height direction at the can barrel portion.

Abstract: A method and packaging material for packaging a selected fluid-containing fresh food item for providing simultaneous curing or marinating of such food item and storage of the same at normal refrigeration temperatures. A fresh food item is wrapped in a packaging material comprising a substrate suitable for contact with food and a food treatment layer comprising a predetermined amount of edible adhesive applied to a food contacting surface of the substrate and a curing or marinating agent mixed in, retained and calibrated by the adhesive. The adhesive is capable of dissolving in fluid from the food at a temperature in the range of null3null C. to null4null C. The amount of curing or marinating agent retained by the predetermined amount of adhesive is that which is required to substantially cure or marinate the selected food item. The amount of the adhesive is determined by the amount of curing or marinating agent required to be retained by it. When the food item is wrapped in the packaging material the food treatment layer is in intimate contact with the food item. The substrate may be a film and the film may be substantially impermeable to air and microorganisms. If it is not impermeable to air and microorganisms the wrapped food item may be sealed in a container that is substantially impermeable to air and microorganisms. The wrapped/sealed food item is maintained at said low temperature at least until it is substantially cured or marinated.

Abstract: A container is used to store fine particles such as bakery flour in a sealed packaging, wherein air in the container, such as air entrapped during filling, can be expelled through compression without loss of fine particles. The container includes a main body forming a pouch which terminates in a principal opening and is fabricated from an imperforate flexible material such as clear plastic film. A sealing mechanism is attached to the pouch for sealing the pouch, and a multiplicity of microscopic pores extend through the flexible material. Each pore has a dimension ranging from 10 to 150 .mu.m sufficient to permit air to exit through an exit port, but to prevent the fine particles from escaping through the pores. At least a portion of the pouch material has an anti-slip surface with an external coefficient of friction ranging from about 0.4 to 0.5.
