Abstract: A process is described that includes flowing a carrier fluid through a transfer line, feeding polymer pellets into the transfer line at a feed location, measuring a first pressure value of the carrier fluid at a location in the transfer line upstream of the feed location, measuring a second pressure value of the carrier fluid and polymer pellets at a downstream location in the transfer line which is downstream of the feed location, and determining a mass flow rate of the polymer pellets flowing in the transfer line based on a differential pressure between the first pressure value and the second pressure value.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a vented bucket for use in an endless conveyor system, such as the conveyor belt of a grain elevator or feed elevator. More specifically, the disclosed vented bucket includes two oppositely disposed side panels joined by a rear panel, a bottom panel, and a front panel. At least one vent tube extends along or within one of the rear panel, side panels or front panel in a substantially vertical orientation. The vent tube facilitates loading material into the vented bucket by allowing air trapped between the bottom of the bucket and the incoming material to escape into a lower opening of the vent tube and exit via an upper opening of the vent tube. The vent tube further facilitates unloading material from the vented bucket by providing a pathway for air to reach the bottom of the bucket, inhibiting formation of a vacuum between the bottom of the bucket and the exiting material.

Abstract: The combine system provides a motor driven paddle system for the movement of grain from combine storage, such as a hopper, to secondary storage, including but not limited to a grain bin, truck, or grain cart. The paddles are constructed from a somewhat rigid material that enable the paddles to move the grain to the secondary storage. The paddle conveyor may be partially enclosed by a housing that protects users from accidental contact with the paddles and the paddle conveyor.

Abstract: A cleated belt tube conveyor for conveying granular material, such as seed and grain commodities. The conveyor comprising a cleat row profile that is optimized for maximizing transfer capacity and minimizing wear. The cleat row profile may incorporate one or more of the following aspects: taller central cleat member and a slanted or clipped peripheral cleat. A cleated belt conveyor guide element, comprised of a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart lugs that extend from an inner surface of the belt is also disclosed. A cogged roller, having a plurality of channel segments divided by drive bars, complements the guide element, increasing the power transfer and tracking ability over a cleated belt lacking a guide element. Also a baffle assembly can be disposed within the conveyor tube to limit material back flow. The baffle assembly can be configured with a belt passage aperture that corresponds to the cleat row profile.

Abstract: An agricultural combine including an agricultural harvester, a crop tank for harvested material, and an unloading auger assembly for unloading and discharging crop material. The auger assembly has inner and outer auger tubes pivotally connected to one another. The auger tubes pivot between a first position in which the auger tubes extend transversely and are coaxial and a second position in which the auger tubes form an angle. The auger tubes contain augers having first and second couplings at cooperating ends. The first coupling has two projections extending to cooperate with a single radial projection on the second coupling to provide improved engagement.
