摘要: A printed circuit board is made from at least one non-woven sheet or web layer comprising at least 50% by weight acrylic fibers, with any balance substantially electrically non-conductive fibers, filler, and binder. The sheet or web is preferably made by the foam process, and may contain 60-80% straight polyacrylonitrile fibers and 40-20% fibrillated (pulp) ones. The web or sheet is preferably compressed by thermal calendering so that it has a density of about 0.1-1 grams per cubic centimeter; and the web or sheet may have a basis weight of between about 20-120 grams per square meter. The web or sheet may also have a 1-40% of substantially electrically non-conductive organic or inorganic binder, or may be substantially binder free. A printed circuit board made using the layers of these non-woven webs or sheets is otherwise conventional, including a pre-preg material, electrically conductive circuit elements, and electronics, and has improved properties compared to woven glass and non-woven aramid products, including improved fiber consolidation, easy board construction, and improved MD/CD ratio and stability.

摘要: A non-woven fabric of hot-melt-adhesive composite fibers having a specified small weight per unit area and soft feeling is provided which fibers are obtained by forming a fiber aggregate consisting of hot-melt-adhesive composite fibers of a specified fineness, alone, composed of as a first component, a polyethylene resin composition (C) consisting of (A) a straight chain, low density polyethylene and (B) another kind of polyethylene, in a specified proportion, and having a specified density and a specified ratio of its melt indexes after and before spinning, and as a second component, a fiber-formable polymer having a m.p. higher than those of either of the polyethylenes constituting the first component, the first component constituting at least a part of the fiber surface of the composite fibers continuously in the longitudinal direction thereof, or a fiber aggregate of a specified average fineness which is mixed fibers of the composite fibers with other fibers of a specified fineness; and subjecting either one of the fiber aggregates to heat treatment at a specified temperature.

摘要: A method and apparatus especially adapted to produce a ply separable web requiring substantially less energy input for drying. The apparatus comprises a headbox having at least three stock flow channels, the outer channels being adapted to convey conventional aqueous stock solutions, with at least one inner channel adapted to convey airborne fibers. The resulting web, having a significant portion of the fibers in a dry state, requires less energy to dry, and the distinct layers provide shear zones therebetween which permit ply separation upon creping. Different fiber types may be provided in different layers depending upon product attributes desired, and the products may be conventionally dried or may be throughdried. An alternative embodiment requires the mixing of airborne fibers with an aqueous solution adjacent to or within the headbox, producing only surface wetting of the fibers and reduced interfiber bonding.

摘要: A method of preparing a non-wood fiber paper strengthening product is disclosed. The method comprises placing an additive in an aqueous alkaline medium, wherein the additive comprises a hydroxycarboxylic acid, and mixing a non-wood fiber material with the placed additive in the aqueous alkaline medium to form a mixture, wherein the non-wood fiber material comprises starch, protein and fiber, wherein the additive, starch, protein, and fiber of the non-wood fiber material, and metal ions of the alkaline medium become physically crosslinked resulting in a non-wood fiber paper strengthening product. In an aspect, the non-wood fiber paper strengthening product is used in making a paper product wherein the paper product has greater strength than the same paper product made with native starch or chemically modified starch instead of the non-wood fiber paper strengthening product.
