    摘要: A joystick device is provided including a larger number of proportional control actuators than the prior art thereby enjoying higher operability. Joystick device includes an operation lever having a grip portion provided on a surface thereof with a slide switch substantially T-shaped in section. The slide switch has a web portion connected to an upper surface of a shaft rotatably supported at a lower portion of the operation panel. A magnet is embedded in a lower surface of the shaft. When the operator slides the slide switch, the web portion of the slide switch pivots about the shaft, while the shaft rotates to displace the magnet in accordance with pivotal movement of the web portion. A magnetic sensor detects a variation in magnetic field intensity in accordance with displacement of the magnet, whereby a voltage proportional to the amount of movement of the slide switch is outputted.

    摘要: An optical pointer includes a housing, a movable plate, a manipulable member and a displacement detecting unit. The movable plate is disposed in the housing and has a recognizable pattern. The manipulable member is manipulated by a user to transmit the movable plate to effect two-dimensional movement inside the housing. The displacement detecting unit is disposed in the housing for optically detecting the recognizable pattern of the moveable plate, and generating a control signal indicative of a displacement of the movable plate according to detected image change of the recognizable pattern.

    摘要: A joystick controller for generating analog signals representative of coordinate positions is characterized by a pair of members movable in orthogonal directions by a handle. Each member carries at least one wiper contact adapted to slide linearly along an associated linearly extending resistor carried on a circuit board to generate the signals representative of coordinate positions. The use of linearly extending resistors for generating the signals, as compared with rotary potentiometers, provides for a reduction in size of the joystick controller, economies in its manufacture, and a high degree of linearity between handle positions and the signals generated.

    摘要: A joystick mechanism having a barrel rotator is capable of multiple axis movement and multiple axis analog signal control. The joystick mechanism can be selectively spring centered on two axes, spring centered on one axis and frictionally positioned on the other, or frictionally positioned on both axes. A pair of switch mechanisms, one for each axis of movement, selectably engage or disengage the respective centering spring mechanism. The analog signal generators are adjustable from the outside to provide biasing as required.
