    摘要: An armature-stator structure (45) includes a stator (56) having a magnetic housing (57) of generally U-shaped cross-section. The housing includes an open end (58) in communication with an interior portion (60). A coil (94) is associated with the stator and to be energized to generate a magnetic field. An armature (46) has a generally ring-shaped base (48) and a generally rod-shaped stem portion (50) extending transversely from the base such that the base and stem portion define a generally T-shaped cross-section. The base is able to be received in the opened end of the housing with the stem portion extending into the interior portion. The armature moves with respect to the stator from a first position to a second position in response to the generated magnetic field. The stator and armature are configured such that a force on the armature decreases as a portion of the armature moves further into the interior portion of the body of the stator, towards the second position.

    摘要: A solenoid actuator includes a hard guide piece and a soft flux piece. The hard guide piece has a stop surface ground to create a final air gap distance between the soft flux piece and a stator assembly when the stop surface on the guide piece is in contact with the stator assembly. The final air gap is set by grinding the stop surface on the guide piece so that the distance between the stop surface on the guide piece and a top surface on the soft flux piece along an axis of the guide bore is equal to the final air gap. The step of grinding the armature assembly may be done after attaching the guide piece and the flux piece together. In an exemplary embodiment, the step of grinding the stop surface and associated guide surface(s) are performed in a single chucking.

    摘要: A solenoid plunger for use in solenoid driven multi-line embossing systems is constructed of magnetic steel laminations that are attached to a center block which is machined to mount a solenoid shaft and anti-rotate pins. The laminations are attached to the center block with screws and vacuum epoxy glued for a very high cycle life. The laminated steel construction dramatically reduces eddy currents, which allows the magnetic field to rise and fall much more quickly than a conventional steel plunger. It also increases the magnetic force in the solenoid. This reduction in solenoid plunger eddy currents and increase of magnetic force in the solenoid structure itself operates to increase embosser throughput. The laminated steel construction further reduces embosser solenoid heating which also contributes to improved embossing control.

A first magnet coil 31 has sufficient electromagnetic power to put in a latch state the needle 2 which is in a latch release state on energization. A permanent magnet 4 has sufficient absorption power for absorbing a collar member 22 of the needle 2 put in the latch state by the electromagnetic power of the first magnet coil 31 and maintaining the latch state even when the first magnet coil 31 is in a non-energized state. A second magnet coil 32 can diminish magnetic fluxes of the permanent magnet 4 and change the needle 2 from the latch state to the latch release state on energization. Thus, energy efficiency is improved by varying how to energize the magnet coils according to the state of a load side.

The armature is T-shaped and positioned symmetrically to the magnet core, and has a cross leg to close the magnetic circuit and a central leg, the central leg being oriented toward the central web of the magnet core. An air gap is formed between the free end of the central leg and the center of the central web transversally to the longitudinal axis of the central leg. Leg heads are formed on the lateral legs of the magnet core, enlarged with respect to the cross-section of the lateral legs. The internal profile formed by the magnet core and the enlarged leg heads has a square or rectangular design, into which the driving coil is insertable, and the driving coil fills the yoke profile almost completely.

    摘要: An AC or DC solenoid for operating a hydraulic or air valve, or another machine comprises a means provided at one end of an armature for reducing the effective cross-sectional area of a magnetic path extending through the armature and a yoke when the armature and a stationary core have a distance therebetween which is smaller than a predetermined fraction of the full stroke of movement of the armature. The solenoid is further provided between the armature and the stationary core with a means permitting them to be brought into axially overlapping relation to form a section of leakage flux therebetween. According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided novel means for securing a solenoid of the armature in tube type to a valve body. The improved solenoid has a small size, a long life, and superior performance without causing any excessive attraction over a given small stroke and generating any large noise.
