This invention relates to ungrounded type flexible fabric container with a reduced energy of electrostatic discharge suitable for use in a combustible environment. A woven fabric is configured to form a flexible fabric container having sidewalls, a top feature and a bottom feature. The woven fabric flexible bulk container is made from a static dissipating fabric comprising fabric woven of non-conductive tapes, to which a plurality of bicomponent conductive staple fibers are added. The bicomponent conductive staple fibers have one or more longitudinal stripes of a carbon loaded conductive constituent on an outer surface of a non-conductive constituent. Preferably the staple fibers are woven into or coated onto the fabric at a spacing of from 3 mm to 100 mm.

A papermaker's fabric is made by spirally winding a woven fabric strip. The fabric strip has first and second lateral edges, along which are a first and second lip, respectively. Each lip has at least one lengthwise yarn woven with crosswise yarns. Adjacent to and inward of the first and second lips on the fabric strip are a first and second gap, respectively, which lack lengthwise yarns but whose crosswise yarns join the lips to the body of the fabric strip. When spirally winding the fabric strip, the first lip is disposed within the second gap, and the second lip is disposed within the first gap, of adjacent turns to form a spirally continuous seam which is closed by attaching adjacent turns to one another.

Filler strips made of a solid layer of thermal sealable material, such as separate strips of polyethylene film or other suitable thermal sealable films, are sequentially spaced on one side of a thermal sealable plastic mesh web at equal distance from one another. The pre-prepared web is used on a conventional form, fill and seal machine to form mesh bags having top and bottom fin seals with enhanced strength. The bag is primarily mesh so the product within the bag breathes easily. A thermal sealable print band may be located on the second side of the mesh. Different types of bags can be formed on different types of automatic form, fill and seal machines by modifying the specific configuration of the pre-prepared mesh web for the particular automatic form, fill and seal machine design.
