摘要: An irradiation device for additively manufacturing three-dimensional objects may include a beam generation device configured to generate an energy beam, an optical modulator including a micromirror array disposed downstream from the beam generation device, and a focusing lens assembly disposed downstream from the optical modulator. The micromirror array may include a plurality of micromirror elements configured to reflect a corresponding plurality of beam segment of the energy beam along a beam path incident upon the focusing lens assembly. The focusing lens assembly may include one or more lenses configured to focus the plurality of beam segments such that for respective ones of a plurality of modulation groups including a subset of micromirror elements, a corresponding subset of beam segments are focused to at least partially overlap with one another at a combination zone corresponding to the respective modulation group.

摘要: An irradiation device for an additively manufacturing apparatus may include a working beam generation device configured to provide a working beam, a modulation beam generation device configured to provide a modulation beam, and a solid-state optical modulator that includes a crystalline material that exhibits a change in refractive index in response to photoexcitation of free electrons within the crystalline material. The irradiation device may include a power source coupled to the solid-state optical modulator and configured to introduce free electrons into the crystalline material. The modulation beam may cause photoexcitation of the free electrons within the crystalline material. The photoexcitation of the free electrons within the crystalline material may cause the crystalline material to exhibit a change in refractive index. The working beam, when incident upon the crystalline material, may exhibit a change in one or more parameters, such as a phase shift, attributable at least in part to the change in refractive index exhibited by the crystalline material.

摘要: An apparatus for three-dimensional (3D) printing of an object comprises a print head having at least one inlet for receiving material to be extruded and an outlet. The print head is configured, when the outlet is completely unblocked, to extrude a sheet of material of the width and height of the outlet. One or more actuators are positioned along the width of the print head and arranged to controllably block one or more sections along the width to prevent material from being extruded through the blocked sections, enabling selective extrusion of material through sections that are not blocked in order to selectively print a width of an entire layer of the object in a single pass. The print head and the object move relative to one another via one motion of the print head or of the object.

摘要: Selective laser solidification apparatus is described that includes a powder bed onto which a powder layer can be deposited and a gas flow unit for passing a flow of gas over the powder bed along a predefined gas flow direction. A laser scanning unit is provided for scanning a laser beam over the powder layer to selectively solidify at least part of the powder layer to form a required pattern. The required pattern is formed from a plurality of stripes or stripe segments that are formed by advancing the laser beam along the stripe or stripe segment in a stripe formation direction. The stripe formation direction is arranged so that it always at least partially opposes the predefined gas flow direction. A corresponding method is also described.

摘要: A component, in particular a stator or a rotor, of an electric motor, in which a layer structure is generated is produced using additive manufacturing, by: forming, via alternate additive production, a layer assembly having first layers and second layers each first layer including a filament containing plastic and metal, and each second layer including a filament containing plastic and ceramic; heating the layer assembly a first temperature, at which the plastic is removed from the layers; further heating the layer assembly (2) to a second temperature, whereby the metal of the layer is sintered and an electrically insulating ceramic layer is obtained from the layer.

摘要: In an example of a three-dimensional (3D) printing method, a ceramic build material is applied. A detailing agent fluid is applied to a portion of the ceramic build material. The detailing agent fluid includes a cationic polymer. A liquid functional material, including an anionically stabilized susceptor material, is applied to another portion of the ceramic build material that is in contact with the portion of the ceramic build material having the detailing agent fluid thereon, such that at least some of the anionically stabilized susceptor material reacts with at least some of the cationic polymer that is in contact therewith to prevent spreading of the anionically stabilized susceptor material.
