摘要： A drywall joint, suitable for joining dry wall panels of wall and ceiling structures, wherein each drywall panel has an outer surface and an opposite inner surface, the joint including: (a) an outer joint section, extending at least partially the height of and being disposed against the outer surface of the drywall panels; (b) an inner joint section, extending at least partially the height of and being disposed against the inner surface of the drywall panels; and (c) connectors for coupling the outer and inner joint sections together so as to sandwich the drywall panels between the outer and inner joint sections, the connectors including: i. first engagement formations on one of the outer and inner joint sections, and ii. correspondingly positioned second engagement formations on the other of the inner and outer joint sections, the first engagement formations being so positioned and shaped that they pass through the dry wall panels to inter engage with the second engagement formations in the other of the inner and outer joint sections when the outer and inner joint sections are coupled together.

摘要： The invention provides a method for preparing a gypsum composition containing a cross-linked polymer comprising the following steps: preparing a slurry of the gypsum composition by mixing the various constituents of the composition, or precursors thereof, with water, in a mixer; hydraulic setting; and drying and cross-linking in the presence of heat. The invention applies to the manufacture of gypsum boards.The invention further provides a composition of gypsum containing a cross-linked polymer, and further comprising a water resisting additive in an amount such that the water uptake is below 10%.

摘要： A coating for wall construction is provided whereby a level 5 finish may be obtained without the need for a finishing coat or final skim coat. The coating may be applied to drywall elements prior to installation and is compatible with jointing materials such that a substantially homogeneous surface may be obtained after the drywall elements are assembled with jointing material and the jointing material is dried. The coating formulation includes a noncellulosic thickener, a binder, a mineral filler and water. A method for the construction of interior walls and a construction assembly for interior walls is further provided.

摘要： This invention provides wallboard with a gypsum core with improved antifungal properties based on the distribution of fungicide and starch. Preferably, the wallboard has a gypsum core having a first surface and a second surface; facing sheets adhered to the first and second surfaces; a fungicide and a starch in the gypsum core; wherein the concentration of fungicide and starch is greater in portions of the core adjacent to the facing sheets than in a center of the core. Also a method for manufacturing wallboard as described above.

摘要： There is now provided a building having a pitched, sculptured tile roof with a ridge extending atop the pitched, sculptured tile roof, with a pitched tile roof venting arrangement disposed at the ridge. The building has walls to support a roof having a ridge beam, roof rafters, and battens that support roofing tiles. The roof also has a row of ridge tiles disposed on said ridge beam. A venting arrangement is disposed atop the ridge beam, between the ridge tiles and the roofing tiles. The venting arrangement has a center strip that is placed onto the ridge beam, and two side strips that cover a portion of adjacent uppermost roofing tiles. The side strips have air venting openings for the passage of air from beneath the roof to the outside of the roof. The air venting openings are covered by cover bands which cover bands permit passage of air to flow therethrough and prevent rain or drift snow to readily penetrate through the air venting openings.
