    摘要: The invention relates to a method for reducing bacterial endospores in an aqueous fibre suspension comprising recycled cellulosic fibres, wherein the fibre suspension has an original endospore amount, preferably of ≥10 000 CFU/ml. The method comprises adjusting the pH of the fibre suspension to a pH value of ≤6.5, adjusting the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of the fibre suspension to an ORP value of ≥200 mV with a first oxidizing agent, and introducing an amount of performic acid as a second oxidizing agent to the fibre suspension for reducing the bacterial endospores to an endospore amount of ≤1000 CFU/ml.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an eco-friendly antibacterial polymer-coated paper in which an antibacterial coating agent is coated without releasing harmful substances to humans on the surface of a paper to ensure antibacterial activity and is easy to separate from the paper to enable their recycling. The method includes mixing 40 to 50% by weight of a mixture of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate, 0.5 to 3.0% by weight of a copper nanopowder, 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of an initiator, 1 to 5% by weight of a polymeric dispersant, and a balance of water to prepare a mixed solution, stirring the mixed solution at 70 to 80° C. for 5 to 10 hours for polymerizing the mixture to prepare a polymeric coating agent, and coating the polymeric coating agent to a thickness of 5 to 10 μm on a paper.

    摘要: Disclosed is an emulsion of an internal paper size and a biocidal emulsifying agent, such as a cationic non-starchy quaternary ammonium compounds, that is introduced into a paper-making furnish to produce an anti-microbial paper. The antimicrobial paper is useful as facing for gypsum panels. A method of making the paper includes emulsifying the internal size with a biocide before introducing the size to the paper furnish. A method of making a microbial growth resistant gypsum panel that incorporates the antimicrobial paper is also disclosed.

    摘要: Methods to preserve starch present in pulp are provided and also methods to control calcium precipitation and/or scaling in digesters or BOD systems. The methods can be performed as part of a papermaking process. Process water containing pulp can be treated with a chloramine. Process water containing pulp with native starch can receive a double treatment with at least one biocide, such as chloramine, and at least one oxidant, such as sodium hypochlorite. The treatment can be performed in any suitable manner. The treatment can be performed at one or more stages or locations in a papermaking system. A target residual chloramine value or range can be achieved by the treatment. Packaging sheets/boards and other paper products manufactured using the methods provided exhibit superior strength and other desirable characteristics.
