Abstract:
A fuel supply system is provided having a first fuel gas compressor configured to be driven by a motor and a second fuel gas compressor configured to be driven by a shaft of a gas turbine system. The first fuel gas compressor and the second fuel gas compressor are configured to supply a pressurized fuel flow to a combustor of the gas turbine system, and the first fuel gas compressor and the second fuel gas compressor are coupled to one another in series.
Abstract:
Systems and methods provide secure and wireless intra-vehicular communication. An intra-vehicular communication system has a secured network segment including a plurality of secure zones on a vehicle, the secure zones each having a plurality of node devices. The system also has a single point of security proximate each secure zone on the vehicle providing communication security for a corresponding secure zone, and a public network segment on the vehicle configured to wirelessly transport data traffic between the secure zones.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for suppressing magnetically active surface defects in superconducting quantum circuits are provided. A method includes providing one or more superconducting quantum circuits, and arranging the one or more superconducting quantum circuits in a hermetic enclosure capable of isolating the one or more superconducting circuits from ambient surroundings. The method also includes controlling an environment in the hermetic enclosure to suppress magnetically active surface defects associated with the one or more superconducting quantum circuits. In some aspects, the method further includes introducing an inert gas into the hermetic enclosure to passivate a surface of the one or more superconducting quantum circuits. In other aspects, the method further includes coating a surface of the one or more superconducting circuits with a non-magnetic encapsulation layer. In yet other aspects, the method further includes irradiating the one or more superconducting circuits using ultraviolet light.
Abstract:
Niobium or its alloy based Superconducting Radio Frequency (SCRF) Cavities involving atleast one laser beam welded components in the SCRF cavity welded from inside surface of the wall of cavity directed to achieving more than half the thickness to full depth penetration with minimum HAZ, minimizing distortion and shrinkage. The method ensures improved weld quality and surface finish substantially free of any weld defects. Also disclosed is the welding nozzle system and welding rigs adapted to facilitate such laser welding of the Niobium or its alloy based Superconducting Radio Frequency (SCRF) Cavities. The invention is thus directed to enhancing productivity, ensuring consistent quality and reliability, enhanced weld penetration with minimum HAZ, smooth finish of weld joints at possible reduced costs.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for providing a web-based integrated development environment (IDE) solution hosted on a cloud environment. One computer-implemented method includes receiving an entity data model extensible markup language (XML) (EDMX) model, receiving an indication of user input from a user input device, providing auto completion suggestions based on received user input, determining whether the provided auto completion selections are acceptable, and determining whether the ECMX model is complete and in a logical state.
Abstract:
A magnetic shield having non-magnetic gaps provides reduced magnetic cross-talk for a linear motor array in a precision positioning system. Redirecting the leakage flux limits the cross-talk and associated deleterious effects. Such preferred magnetic circuit paths for the leakage are affixed to the moving magnet system of the linear motor. Embodiments of the preferred flux leakage paths are realized by providing a ferromagnetic shield separated by a non-magnetic gap between the permanent magnets and the back-irons. In another embodiment, the ferromagnetic shield separation includes diamagnetic materials.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to allocating encrypted memory locations to store encrypted information, the information to be encrypted and decrypted using a single hypervisor. Further activity may include permitting access to a designated number of the encrypted memory locations to a single application executed by an associated virtual machine (VM) subject to the hypervisor, and denying access to the designated number of the encrypted memory locations to any other application executed by the associated VM, or any other VM. In some embodiments, the operational state of the associated VM may be restored using the encrypted information. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.
Abstract:
An incoming call is communicated to a first endpoint and a second endpoint. A call redirection message comprising a redirection number is received from the first endpoint, and it is determined whether the first endpoint should be disconnected from the call according to the redirection number. The call is disconnected from the first endpoint if the redirection number indicates that the call should be disconnected.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for assigning resources in a cloud computing environment via a spot pricing process. The spot pricing process allows virtual machines to be assigned on a preemptible basis to pools based on bids associated with the pools. The bids can be used to determine a price for assignment of preemptible virtual machines. Preemptible virtual machines can then be assigned to pools based at least in part on the submitted bids in relation to the determined price.
Abstract:
An over current protection system includes a current sensing member configured and disposed to output an electrical rate of change signal that is indicative of a rate of change of an electrical current being in excess of a predetermined value, at least one micro electro-mechanical switch (MEMS) device operatively connected to the current sensing member, and a controller electrically coupled to each of the current sensing member and the at least one MEMS device. The controller is configured and disposed to open the at least one MEMS device in response the electrical rate of change signal.
