Abstract:
A film mode detection apparatus capable of detecting a bad edit and a method thereof that can detect a bad edit independently of a film pattern. The film mode detection apparatus includes a pattern generation unit to generate a pattern using difference values of information between sequential fields of an input image, a bad edit detection unit to detect extremum values of the difference values of the information between the fields and to judge whether a present field corresponds to a bad edit according to variances of the detected extremum values, and a decision unit to decide whether the input image is a film image using pattern information generated from the pattern generation unit and bad edit detection information from the bad edit detection unit. Accordingly, the apparatus can cope with all kinds of bad edits and thus can prevent an error during the judgment of a film mode.

An apparatus and method for detecting a 2:2 pull-down sequence, which can accurately detect the 2:2 pull-down sequence is provided. The apparatus includes a main detection unit for calculating a summed absolute difference (SAD) between sequential fields with respect to an input image signal and detecting a 2:2 pull-down image based on the SADs, a sub-detection unit for calculating an absolute change amount between the SADs and detecting the 2:2 pull-down image based on the absolute change amounts, a still image judgment unit for judging whether the input image signal is a still image, and a 2:2 pull-down sequence decision unit for deciding whether the input image signal is the 2:2 pull-down sequence. The apparatus can accurately detect the 2:2 pull-down image by adaptively coping with the changed picture even in the case of much noise.

The image signal detecting apparatus includes a SAD calculation unit for calculating summed absolute differences (SADs) among a current field (n), a previous field (n−1), and a next field (n+1) with respect to consecutively input image signals, a pull-down image detection unit, a still image determining unit , a bad-edit detection unit for detecting a bad-edit in the detected pull-down image, and a decision unit for deciding whether the input image signal is the pull-down image or not based on the result of detecting the pull-down image, the result of determining whether the input image signal is a still image by the still image judgment unit, and the result of detecting the occurrence of the bad-edit.
Abstract:
A technique and apparatus for integrally connecting a precast or prefabricated deck to a girder. A connection structure and method for connecting a precast or prefabricated deck to a girder, makes it unnecessary to form shear pockets in the deck and to remove existing shear connectors already installed to the girder, and makes it possible to easily adjust an elevation of the deck and to obtain excellent structural integration between the girder and the deck. The connection structure includes at least one rod shaped elevation adjustor inserted through the deck to support the deck spaced apart from an upper surface of the girder at a predetermined interval. A length of the rod shaped elevation adjustor projected toward an upper face of the girder can be changed to allow the deck to be supported. At least one shear connector is inserted through the deck. A lower portion of the shear connector extends toward the upper surface of the girder, and an upper portion of the shear connector is fastened by at least one fastener. When the deck is supported at a predetermined elevation spaced apart from the upper surface of the girder by the elevation adjustor after the deck is placed on the girder, a filler material is filled in a space between the girder and the deck to encase the lower portions of the elevation adjustor and the shear connector. The fastener is fastened to the shear connector so as to press the deck downward.
