    摘要: A first air conditioner is generally applied to a vehicle including a windshield and a passenger compartment having a front segment and a rear segment. The windshield faces the front segment of the passenger compartment. Air is injected into the front segment of the passenger compartment via a first duct. Air is injected into the rear segment of the passenger compartment via a second duct. A humidifier acts on the air injected into the rear segment of the passenger compartment via the second duct. In a second air conditioner, a humidifier can be selectively activated and deactivated. A temperature control arrangement responsive to activation and deactivation of the humidifier compensates for fluctuations in the temperature of air resulting from changes between activated and deactivated states of the humidifier.

    摘要: An apparatus for automatically controlling tunnel face hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic chamber defined by a rotary cutter head and bulkhead in a shield type excavator used in hydraulic tunnel boring system including a pipe for feeding a hydraulic material with a feeding pump from a reservoir to the chamber and a pipe for discharging a mixture of the fed hydraulic material with ground formations excavated by the cutter head from the chamber to the reservoir with a discharging pump. The apparatus substantially comprises a pressure gauge for measuring actual hydraulic pressure in the chamber, a pressure regulating valve in the feeding pipe as disposed close to the chamber, a first pressure regulator in which a predetermined feeding pressure is preset for comparing the actual pressure measured by the gauge with the predetermined feeding pressure and controllably operating the valve responsive to any difference between the pressures compared in the first regulator, and a second pressure regulator in which a predetermined pumping pressure is preset for comparing the actual pressure with the predetermined pumping pressure and controlling pumping rate of the feeding pump responsive to any difference between the pressures compared in the second regulator. The predetermined pumping pressure preset in the second regulator is preferrably made slightly higher than the predetermined feeding pressure preset in the first regulator.

    摘要: A method of completing a tunnel excavation with a slurry shield type tunneling machine through a soft ground having a high water content or much gushing water, advancing the machine from the ground into a vertical shaft at, for example, a tunnel terminating point while preventing any ground collapse or gushing water at a vertical shaft wall finally excavated, and an apparatus for performing the method. A substantially ring-shaped liquid-tight packing means having an inner diameter large enough for passing therethrough the machine while maintaining a liquid-tight sealing around the outer periphery of the machine is provided at a position of a final tunnel port on a shaft wall at which the machine reaches the vertical shaft and along the inside surface of sheet piles struck in advance on the vertical shaft wall, a pressurized liquid chamber having substantially the same diameter as that of the packing means is formed in the vertical shaft so as to open on the packing means side, the liquid pressure in said chamber is kept at least as high as ground water pressure or ground pressure, the sheet pile is removed from the final port position, and the machine is then propelled to pass through the remaining ground layer and packing means and is receptacled in the pressure chamber. After back-filling around the final port is completed, the chamber and machine are removed.
