    摘要: A magnetization reversal device includes a ferromagnetic 12 body which is provided in an interconnection of a non-ferromagnetic dot 11 so that a part or a whole of the ferromagnetic dot is three-dimensionally buried in the interconnection of said non-ferromagnetic dot, and a spin injection source 13 which generates a spin-polarized pure spin current without a flow of charges, and which is provided in the interconnection of the non-ferromagnetic dot 11 to be in contact therewith so that the interconnection of the non-ferromagnetic dot serves as a common electrode, and the pure spin current flows into the ferromagnetic dot 2 through the interconnection of the non-magnetic body by the spin injection source 13 due to a diffusion current, to thereby reverse magnetization of the ferromagnetic dot 12. By injecting the pure spin current, using this planar structure, it is possible to easily carry out the magnetization reversal of the ferromagnetic dot 12 even if it is a thick film ferromagnetic dot without being subjected to limitation of a spin diffusion length.

    摘要: An imaging method is disclosed that is implemented in an image forming apparatus for forming a tone pattern on a recording medium by forming an arrangement of dots on the recording medium. The arrangement of dots is formed on the recording medium by jetting a recording liquid from a recording head while moving the recording head in a main scanning direction a plurality of times and intermittently conveying the recording medium in a sub-scanning direction that perpendicularly intersects the main scanning direction. The imaging method involves forming the arrangement of dots such that dots belonging to a first group that are consecutively aligned in a base tone direction and dots belonging to a second group that are consecutively aligned in the sub scanning direction are respectively formed in non-consecutive order on the recording medium.

    摘要: The invention has such a double hetero structure (11) that an active layer (3) is sandwiched by an n-type clad layer (2) and a p-type clad layer (4) on a semiconductor substrate (1) made of GaAs. In the p-type clad layer (4), for example, an n-type current constriction layer (6) consisting of at least two layers is provided in such a configuration that a first layer (6a) thereof closer to the active layer is made of a material having almost the same refractive index as the p-type clad layer and a second layer (6b) thereof farther from the active layer is made of a material having a smaller refractive index than the first layer (6a). By this configuration, a self-excitement type and high-power semiconductor laser can be obtained which operates in a stable manner up to a high power without generating a kink while being self-excited at a low power. Another embodiment of the invention comprises a current constriction layer having an n-type in which a stripe trench is formed in the p-type clad layer, and a light confinement layer having a smaller refractive index than the p-type clad layer is formed at the current constriction layer facing the active layer, so as to be of a p-type or non-doped type. By this configuration, a semiconductor laser can be obtained which operates up to a high power without generating a kink.
