Abstract: A control method includes obtaining, from a terminal, reservation information including use start date and time of an electric-powered vehicle that a first user hopes to use; obtaining an amount of remaining battery of the electric-powered vehicle; determining, based on the amount of remaining battery, whether an amount of remaining battery of the electric-powered vehicle is no less than a predetermined value at the use start date and time; and transmitting, to the terminal, notification information indicating a result of the determining. For example, the determination includes calculating, based on a predetermined charging characteristic unique to a battery of the electric-powered vehicle, an amount of remaining battery to be held by the electric-powered vehicle at the use start date and time upon the electric-powered vehicle being charged at a charging station; and determining whether the amount of remaining battery of the electric-powered vehicle is no less than the predetermined value.

Display screen data is generated which indicates a status of the log information. Provision of the log information of each group is individually selectable. The display screen data is provided via a network to a display terminal that performs access to a server device. Information is received from the display terminal, which indicates that selection on whether or not provision of the log information is performed. Provision of the log information is not performed on the selected group when a determination is made that refusal of provision of the log information on the selected group is performed.

Abstract: An update management method is used in an onboard network system having a plurality of electronic control units (ECUs) that performs communication via a network and connects to an external tool. The method includes a master ECU storing a shared key and an expiration date of the shared key. When the master ECU receives an update message, verifying update authority information indicating authority of the external tool, and determining whether or not a transmission of the update message is within a range of an authority of the external tool. The method also includes acquiring external point-in-time information, determining whether or not the external point-in-time information is before the expiration date, and transmitting an alert message prompting an update of the shared key. The ECUs are prioritized according to a designated level of authority, including chassis-related functions, body-related functions, safety/comfort functions, and telematics/infotainment functions.

Abstract: An anti-fraud method for use in an in-vehicle network system including a plurality of electronic control units that exchange, in an in-vehicle network, data frames, each having added thereto a message authentication code (MAC). Abstract: A method for controlling an information terminal apparatus is disclosed. The method includes, receiving first display data indicating a condition to permit collecting selection information indicating recipe information selected by a user, and recipe information for selection. Once a recipe is selected by the user, selection information indicating selected recipe information is received. Based on the received information, a determination of whether the selected recipe information has a specific health identifier, and a determination of whether the user has granted a comprehensive permission for collecting the selection information under the indicated condition are made. When the selected recipe information is determined to include the specific health identifier and it is determined that the user has granted the comprehensive permission, the selected recipe information is uploaded to a server without requesting an individual permission from the user.
