Abstract:
The invention provides a novel microorganism producing pravastatin sodium, as well as the method for producing pravastatin sodium by using this microorganism. Micropolyspora roseoalba CGMCC 0624 of the invention is highly tolerant to mevastatin sodium, and has a high transformation rate of mevastatin sodium, and can produce pravastatin sodium with a high efficiency and low cost.
Abstract:
Substituted bicyclic heteroaryls and compositions containing them, for the treatment of general inflammation, arthritis, rheumatic diseases, osteoarthritis, inflammatory bowel disorders, inflammatory eye disorders, inflammatory or unstable bladder disorders, psoriasis, skin complaints with inflammatory components, chronic inflammatory conditions, including but not restricted to autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE), myestenia gravis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, multiples sclerosis, Sjoegren's syndrome and autoimmune hemolytic anemia, allergic conditions including all forms of hypersensitivity, The present invention also enables methods for treating cancers that are mediated, dependent on or associated with p110δ activity, including but not restricted to leukemias, such as Acute Myeloid leukaemia (AML) Myelo-dysplastic syndrome (MDS) myelo-proliferative diseases (MPD) Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL) B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL) Non Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL) B-cell lymphoma and solid tumors, such as breast cancer.
Abstract:
Provided are methods of treatment for inflammatory and autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract. Also provided are methods of diagnosis.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses provide for incremental provisioning of software for a processing system. For instance, a processing system may include a machine accessible medium and a processor in communication with the machine accessible medium. In addition, instructions encoded in the machine accessible medium may cause the processing system to automatically determine whether a storage device in the processing system includes modified blocks, based at least in part on a write log file that identifies blocks that were modified during a user session on the processing system. In response to identifying at least one modified block in the storage device, the processing system may automatically replace data in the modified block with backup data from a different storage device. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to the field of anti-infective, anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and prokinetic agents. More particularly, the invention relates to a family of compounds having both a biaryl moiety and at least one heterocylic moiety that are useful as such agents.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile air conditioner which comprises an insulated housing having a cooled air outlet and a heated air outlet, an evaporator located in the said housing, a condenser, an electrical fan having an air chamber, and a reservoir for collecting condensed water formed on the evaporator. The evaporator is located between the air chamber and cooled air outlet; while the condenser is located between the air chamber and heated air outlet. The cavity of the said reservoir is in fluid connection with a drain channel which has a drain meatus located in the air-discharge passage extended from the air outlet of the air chamber to the condenser. The condensed water from the reservoir to the drain channel can be atomized into tiny drops by rapid air flow from the air chamber. The tiny drops are blown through the drain channel onto the condenser for being heated and onto the evaporator for being cooled, then flowing into the reservoir at last. The above-described process can be repeated circularly during the air conditioner being in operation. It is much more convenient that this treatment of condensed water can keep the reservoir from being filled without emptying it manually.
Abstract:
In a QA (Question/Answer) system, candidate answers in response to a question received are ranked by probabilities estimated by a language model. The language model is created based on an ordered centroid created from the question and information learned from an information source such as the Internet.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and system in which a two or more execution contexts of threads are maintained simultaneously using stack switching in an operating environment in which merely one thread can be executed at a given point in time. Execution of instructions in a callee thread is suspended and the execution context including a return address location of a pointer of the callee stack is maintained while instructions are being executed in a caller thread.
Abstract:
An Internet protocol (IP) address take-over system in a local area network and a method thereof are provided. The IP address take-over system takes over the IP addresses in a server connecting with a plurality of clients and containing a plurality of network interface cards, and automatically updates the media access control (MAC) addresses stored in the address resolution protocol (ARP) caches of the clients and corresponding to the IP address of the server, so as to guarantee the continuity of the network communication between the clients and the server, and improve the reliability of the server.
Abstract:
Phenoxy amine compounds and compositions for the delivery of active agents are provided. Methods of administration and preparation are provided as well.
